Nice to see things moving forward. I just sent Voyager an email with my address. And I have Ann's batch in an envelope, just waiting for the next offer. :) Have these been posted yet? Not received so far! Hi Ann, As per email to you yesterday, these will go out on Tuesday. Sorry for the delay, but ...

Voyager's stamps arrived today, many thanks, a very nice batch indeed!

Someone somewhere along the line even helped out by opening the envelope for me. :) It was done very thoughtfully though, a straight slice along the side so the very nice cover wasn't damaged and nothing appears to be missing.

I've received quite a few from Belgium and Finland as well over the past few years.

Question: Does anyone think these types of covers - ie with 'old postage' used in the euro days - will have any type of 'value' in the future? I personally now save all covers but am just curious.

This is Scott 1654 (bright rose) and 1654a (dull red). In my 2005 Scott catalog the bright rose was USD 3.50/1.90 and the dull red 3.00/2.00. Hope that helps a bit!

I just got back from a two weeks in Daegu for the World Track & Field Championships. I was born in Piran, a 1000+ year-old town on Slovenia' Adriatic coast. It's 'Pirano' in Italian, which sounds a bit more like a name. (I spent much of my life in and around Cleveland, Ohio, but Piran sounds much more exciting, so decided against that as a handle).

From the wiki: In 1835, five ...
