Clemo What makes you say the bottom stamp is from the same block?...but position unknown? You have other stamps from the same block? Hi all... I am assuming that the top stamp of the attached 2d Orange KGV is 6R16 - Spot on thigh of Roo. The lower one is from the same block, but position unknown, and has a spot on Roo's back. JohnBenn: re your 2d Die 2 I remember the image 2d Glen showed, but didn't go look for it. Your stamp is not 3L59. Slurred prints- & none are listed for the 2d- are not related to individual cliches, but to the printing process itself & if one cliche is affected most of the other cliches on...

Gents,
The closest I could come to plating this 2d Orange KGV,(no visible watermark line) is UCV A32 - Diffuse blur within lower right frame.

Big difference between the 4d Blue 1L57, and 4d Olive 4L25 - both classified as Roos 'tongue' out.
Looks as though the good Mr K. may have to change the wording of 1L57 in future editions...

The above 4d Blue seems to have the same example of the variety 'Roos tongue out' as shown in ACSC.

Clemo: re your 5ds The 1st has to be rough paper. So many dots to try and check.... but I couldn't plate it or the smooth paper one. Thanks, mobbor; I had a vague suspicion that I had a rough & a smooth. Pleased to know that one of them is rough, just a pity it is not better centred! Regards
