This brings up an issue that has always baffled me, why imperf stamps with large margins command such high premiums. All folks are paying for is essential blank paper, the central design of the stamp, providing it's all there should be all that is needed to encompass the whole stamp.

Just had a look in my copy of Pierron's however they have no listings for British Honduras.

Personally I'd say it's purely a colour shift as the colour is quite clearly there and therefore not omitted.

I agree 100% with you McGooley, without these albums, as I mentioned earlier in my thread I had no direction with my collecting habits. New issues do not, and never have, interested me and I just seemed to be accumulating rather than specifying what I collected. Hopefully we'll see some other thread...

The pre-glued flaps on this box were , at both ends, folded inside the outer packaging and the interior box slid inside, nothing at either end was securing the inner box to the outer box or preventing anything from falling out! £80 for a catalogue, throw in another £25.15 postage and this is what just turned up at my house! Someone mention Silver Jubilee issues! I have a thick A5 envelope full of them. How long does it usually take Prestige to send out invoices?

I won two lots at last Friday's auction No 175 and despite sending them 2 emails have yet to receive either a response or an invoice.

Just heard back from the auctioneers, he has said that they've had issues with items being held up by Customs here before. Asked me to wait until next Monday then he will launch a claim if it's still a no show.

Exactly what I was thinking!

Have just fired the auction house an email to get them to double check and confirm the mailing address. A few lads in work have been ordering model car parts from the states and have been getting them within 8 days, hopefully these items aren't lost.

I'm currently awaiting the arrival of two auction lots that I won towards the end of July. Sent by registered international first class at a cost of $24, they were mailed on the 28th of July. The tracking only covers them within the USA , so it seems, and the last entry for that has them in New York...

Jonah Is it no watermark? If so, it may be just a -pretty extreme- example of the mostly horizontal white flecks that abound on no watermark stamps. I think the 'E' joining the 'N' is the same thing. Here are a few other partial countries that I am progressing along nicely. In the case of Transvaal I have a few earlier issues but a hell of a lot of blank spaces! Some of the earlier stuff isn't overly expensive but very difficult to find. Interesting to note that the Imperial has a space for SG 2...

I'm coming to the conclusion from that information that the Bechuanaland / British mentioned in SG is therefore only a misaligned overprint as shown above then.

You are quite right Greg in the fact that picking up items from here and there does leave gaps that can be very difficult to fill. Space no 50 on the second picture of the Seychelles collection is SG 58 3c on 18c sage green and carmine cat £2.75. I've been looking everywhere for this particular item...
