It's SG 194. (SG 63 is the 1844 4d Red.)

A search on ebay shows plenty of very sound looking examples going for about £7.50.

There was also a printing on KP6T in 1976.

I have taken the liberty of adding "French to English" to your topic title. This may increase the chances of attracting someone to the thread who can help.

Thread titles are like bait - better bait = more chance of a catch.

A couple of other questions.

I may have missed it, but can't find anything that says what currency is used for the catalogue values.

Also, are watermarks illustrated anywhere?

Interesting flaw. It's not listed in the ACSC, but there are masses of unlisted flaws on this issue.

If it's constant, something as obvious as that merits a listing, so maybe it's transient?

What I'm thinking of, though, is when there is a particular seller who clogs up the listings with rubbish (whether it be mis-described or just masses of junk) so what I would like to do is block them from the listing that I see. I think "Hide" would be a better term than "Block"...

They received an irate letter saying "Why should I be charged double for living in New Hampshire?"

Badly centred stamps from these issues are very common, so there is nothing unusual about that. I don't think the design is tilted either. The scan is not upright, and also the orientation of the cancel is slightly rotated clockwise. Both combine to maybe make the design look off-vertical. Here is t...
