Just voted for UK, NZ, Comonwealth, etc.

I collect GB and British Colonies up to independence, latest up to 1966, in used conditions.

Of the Colonies I like especially NZ FFQ.

I'm also interested in old Scandinavian stamps.

Hi All, these stamps are forgeries; on the four last the B62-cancellation is far too black and too distinct with very sharp edges. Stamp no. 1 is a forgery too; have a look at the nose: on the forgery there is a line at the upper edge of the nose; the original stamp has no such borderline, the pictu...

Hi All,

I do most of my purchasing via internet (ebay, auctions, stampsellers).
And I would like to buy in stampshops, but the last in Karlsruhe has closed down last year.

If I'm on a trip to another city Ialways try to spend some time at stampsellers there.

Hi Mike,

regarding the cancellations of the six pence black and the one shilling blue both are fakes. The others could be genuine from first sight.

Hi All,

my cut-off year is 1970/71 with the change to decimal currency. More and more stamps seemed to be printed not for postage but for collectors. I do not like this. So I made a clear cut.

Hi Glen,

it seems to be a new site that needs completing.
I'm not involved in it. Just read about it in the German magazine from the BdPh, Philatelie.
So I think it is not for creating spams or so.
Just thought it could be interesting for some of our members.

just read about a new online enceclopedia for stamps: http://www.philapedia.com

But as I noticed there is nothing about Australia / NZ.

Maybe some experts here would like to add their knowledge to this site. It is open for everyone like e.g. wikipedia.

Hi Peter,

this stamps seems damaged to me. It looks like there has another stamps stuck to the surface of your Indian stamp and took some colour with it when being removed.

The red colour looks a little oxidized; a common problem with the red and orange ink on older stamps especially on recess printed ones.
