| If you can sell this for a hundred bucks and make a profit, I wonder what the old guy got for it and how much did it cost him to buy in the first place? A perfect lesson for collectors to buy stamps for the enjoyment they give you over the years as a hobby and not for any kind of investment. I hope ... |

Those Washingtons are a finely engraved set. I like the way they depicted his life through portraiture, then again they had no choice since photography wasn't invented until the eighteen thirties.  |

| I can only find Kenya for K You're right there isn't much for K, only Kuwait issued some engraved stamps early on and Korea which I believe only used lithography. They were printed by the Austrian State Printers and the engraver's name is Alfred Nefe.

| Canada Post issued 5 more of the low-value Beneficial Insect definitives on October 19. skilo54,I believe those stamps are from the Soviet Union, not Ukraine but since they called themselves the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics it would qualify under U

There are some great scans on here lately, I like the KGV, 5c it's such a rich blue.
uncadonego you say you scan at 2400 dpi, if I try scanning that high it takes forever and lots of times just freezes.
That's why I usually scan at 800dpi. |
