| Sometimes, you can get a hinge off by rubbing it gently with the butt end of your tongs - just enough to break the adhesive bonds. Failing that, there are products available that can be applied to the hinge with a fine paint brush, enough to loosen it for removal. Leaves a spot of disturbed gum, so... |

| I've used AlbumEasy a fair bit, and for simple layouts it's pretty easy to use. It is a bit limited, and the fact that you have to create your page definitions in a text editor, run them through AlbumEasy to make the PDF, then check the PDF by eye to make sure you didn't make any blunders all gets a... |

| Hinge remnants? Cotton tip (the bud on a stick, Q tip thing) and water, just moisten the hinge and peel it off. The hinge is only glassine paper. I can't recall any fugitive inks used, but many old inks will fade when soaked - purple/lilac for one. Depending on the paper thickness and the inks thin... |

At least half an hour in very hot water (mine's 65 degrees C out of the tap), then very gently slip some stamp tongs under a corner of the stamp. You'll get a good feel prett... |

| What about MINT Stamps. Can I use the same method for removing foxing on MINT stamps? Will the gum not dissolve in the water? Yep, the gum definitely will get washed off.
