Couldn't really make a list as I collect everything that was issued before I was born. My opinion is "if it isn't history, then I should already know it"!

Actually, its anything before 1946, which rules out most of the aussie stamps and quite a few recent countries as well.

Agreed. Each has its particular strengths and weaknesses, reflecting its home market, and the different underlying assumptions between the catalogues. By the way, what exchange rates did you use to do the comparisons? Today's, or 2004/5 rates? Another good point, it was, of course, todays rate. I d...

Interesting argument. SG may reflect more interest in AAT as it's ex 'Empire'; how many Americans really care about AAT? What happens if you do the comparison with the two for say the Canal Zone? If the difference is the same then we have an interesting theory until then I suspect that each catalog...

DJ, it may be perfectly normal to use a Scott's catalogue number in the US to describe a stamp but it is not in Australia. This one is not displayed in color by Scott, just a b/w image and the description is multi-color (a really big help). I came across a small quantity of these stamps. They both have the earlier watermark (non-scripted CA) and are perf 14.
