This appears to be one of a set of 6 postcards. Trove thinks they were published in 1919, obviously an erroneous estimate. I have been unable to locate an actual publishing date. A few others seen on the internet are postmarked between February and October 1906 inclusive. 1905 is a possibility as th...

Registered from Australia offers no real advantages except that it usually delivered a few days later due to slower processing.

What if one decides to post a letter with some 'purchased from post office' stamps that make up the correct rate but then also added 'reused uncancelled' stamps as a philatelic 'extra' to try and get them cancelled this time by the post office. Do you mean "try to" or is there a word miss...

Frankly, re-using unfranked stamps is rather low on my list of illegal acts to get in a state about. A postal article can be franked or unfranked. A stamp cannot. A stamp can be cancelled or uncancelled. Franking is putting a stamp on an article to be posted. Cancelling is putting a postmark on the...

Nice find.

Now you need to find another one (or several) and try to determine if it is a constant singularity (a variety) or if it is just a one-off error in the printing of that stamp.

I am assuming it is not listed in a catalogue.
