| This must have been a very delicate decision to make, as all of the recent site conversion appeared to be based on the VSC joining up and supplying new membership/sellers/buyers. | I have a small group of covers from Great Britain to Canada - all personal correspondence to same person - many with enclosures....all from the 1930's and 40's and I wondered if I could get suggestions on a fair asking price to sell here. If you are looking at doing anything not in the immediate Toronto area or Vancouver area where you are staying, you may need a car to travel and prepare for a bit of a drive. The Toronto waterfront is worth a day of walking and fun. I'm not sure... |

For someone who doesn't regularly handle such items, I am in the same boat as you are. The differences are not obvious to me from a catalogue listing or web page listing.
If anyone wants to take a shot at what the differences are (for we "uninformed"), that would be great.

Well, I just got the same message for the first time tonight. My payment didn't go through (after about 3 hours) for an invoice sent to me, so I sent money from my end and it went through just fine. Sure hope they don't double dip!!

Have you looked closely at the area of white with a high powered magnifier to see if there is any fibre damage showing? It looks like it could be a scuff on the stamp, but it's difficult to tell from your scan.
It certainly isn't anything I've seen before as a listed error or variety

I will also be very interested in this decision when it comes down. I purchased a decent estate just before the news hit the fan about devaluing the guilder stamps. Curious to see if I have wallpaper or any recourse to reclaim some value.
