There is no Second Class Air Mail listedf in the postal rates booklets.
The only $0.40 rate to the UK is for greeting cards, 10 to 20 g. Possible, yes. Plausible??? |

| Anything you make yourself is likely to be bad for your stamps. And if your time and your stamps are worth nothing it might be less expensive. Otherwise buy stockbooks. This is likely to be false economy. |

| Just use an ATM. Rates are reasonable. Convenience is unbeatable. A couple of dollars fees on a few hundred is peanuts. Talk the first dealer ytou buy from out of $2 on a $200 transaction. Easy. |

| Good top end philatelic literature has almost always been a good investment, as witnessed by this book. Usually a too small print run, marginal PR so that most potential purchasers are unaware until too late, and people not wanting to spend the $$ on a book. |

| If you type victoria tpo into google the first web site that pops up is http://www.stampsofvictoria.com It identifies this cancellation as T03-U4 (Uptrain) The duplex was re-issued with dates seen from August 7, 1894 until November 17, 1898. This is very common on loose stamps but scarce on cover. |

In some of the older literature three papers are described.
Thick paper which looks and feel and measures thick Tin paper which looks and feel measures thin The other one which looks thick and feels and measures thin
Just one more source of confusion. |

Glen tried, and now I will.
This stamp was never valid for postage and therefore will not show up in SG catalogues or albums.
Issued in c1914 according to Barefoot, as a purely revenue or fiscal stamp. |

I have not got that far in the alphabet yet so have no detailed response. Maybe Greg can check his Innamincka later tonight when at home. The layout of the letters helps a lot if an example is available. |

| Many of the numeral perfins that appear on odd stamps are thanks to Kodak. At one time, they perforated the stamp and envelope in which films arrived for processing. I have a few of these on Papua New Guinea stamps. I suppose it is possible that Kodak used the number 101 at some point in their proce... |

| Campbell also notes the same marking being used in Queensland. He also notes that is very rare. Hard to say whether it is a BNG or QLD marking without something else to clue you in as to where it was used. Very rare, but not exclusively Papuan. |

That vendor has two SPECIAL DESPATCH covers listed in eBay at various times.
I cannot sort out any rate that makes any sense. And Special Despatch is not listed in the rate books anywhere. I am wary of these offerings. |

| Or you could just create the descriptive tags and use Hagner (or equivalent) sheets to hold the stamps and the tags. When you are comfortable that changes will not be likely, then you can commit to the album page. Sort of like how many exhibitors develop their exhibits |

| Postage was $0.25 per oz (or 1/2 oz?) and registration was $ 0.25. Triple weight letter to Zone 4, plus registration. At least in this case the rate is correct. One more reason to preume non-philatelic. |

And the ERD for amny of these cancellations is a very fluid moving target.
It would be so much nicer if the information was on a web site that goit updated every now and then. The static form of books makes it hard to keep up. |
