Mine too! I don't remember where I got mine from but I spent a winter hinging stamps from a packet of 1000 my neighbour gave me. I was 10 years old or so.

CTO = Cancelled to Order. What you will see is an exceptionally fine cancel on a stamp which also has full, undisturbed gum on the back. What happened (an I'll rely on an expert to tune this explanation) is that the postal authority cancelled the stamp in advance in order to sell it as a used stamp ...

When I read the OP, I thought he was referring to collecting fads over stamp issuing trends. One that comes to mind is the collecting of gum. This 'fad' seems to have stuck (har har) but there are articles from 50 years ago that bemoan the rise of the Never Hinged craze. I was thinking of others but...

That's pretty much the way you do it in any program. I thought Visio had a way to draw a box and have the box automatically have a top and bottom caption. If you have to make the boxes yourself, you run into the problem of lining it all up and making sure that the space between the text and the pic...

My program (the user interface is just two input fields) reads the XML and produces a PDF. I can open the PDF from the application if I want to look. Neat.
