Hi, everybody! I got an uncancelled stamp bearing the inscription "Hultschiner Landchen".

German coats of arms in the lower corners, printed on pretty poor quality paper.

All the other stamps from that page date from 1920, I presume that this one could have been issued in 1920 as well. I could not find it in my Ivert et Tellier catalogue, at least not in the German section. Could it be a local issue of some sort?

I would appreciate very much if someone could tell me where this stamp is from and what its value might be. Thank you!

Hi, Egoissimo.

Without seeing a scan, it's difficult to tell, but my guess from the information you have given is that it is a Poster-Stamp, or one of the local delivery issues from early c20th Germany.

If you need any assistance in posting images, this thread should give you all you need:

Hi welcome to Stampboards ... please add a welcome note and your locale in our "Roll Call" thread -- top one on the list. :D

Ii found this snippet:

Re the division of Upper Silesia after World War I. In 1919, on the basis of the Versailles Treaty, the southern half of the Ratibor county, known as the Hultschiner Landchen (Hlucinsko) passed to Czechoslovakia.

Also found a reference for :

Hultschiner-Landchen: 1920s: mourning label for territory annexed by Czechoslovakia in 1919 issued by German stamp dealer Sigmund Hartig.

Only 5 years after the original post and here’s a scan of one of the labels mentioned.
