Hi people, Switzerland calling !

For a lot of months or years for any of them, I desperately try to identify the stamps shown under. It's the last 12 to go from about 150'000 in my books !!! but 12 big questions !

I hope some of you have the answers...

Thanks in advance for that !!!!

It would really help if you scan them on dark background and higher resolution. As it is, quite difficult to see the inscriptions.

Number 6 is a Montenegro revenue stamp.

Very much so... all I can tell is that #1 and #12 have Cyrillic inscriptions. If we can see enough details, I can generally recognize a country name or state seal even though I don't read Cyrillic in any language... though others on the board probably do.

I'm on unfamiliar territory, but I believe #11 is a Jewish National Fund label listed in my 1998 Bale's as part of the "Diaspora 2" set from 1948.

However, this catalog only lists those denominations which were used as interim postage... the 50m is not listed... perhaps a more specialized catalog or a more recent Bale's

Ahoj keltia!

No 5 says revenue stamp at the left and from the currency I would guess Syria.

Ahoj again keltia!

Thank you for the better scans.

I would guess from the dual script and currency that no. 1 is Jugoslavia.

No. 6 is part of an unissued set of Postage dues from Montenegro.

No. 10 is from a 1926 Red Crescent compulsory tax set from Turkey and I would guess Nos 7 & 9 are Turkish too.

No 11 has Hebrew lettering so I think RobRoyH is spot on.

Ahoj yet again keltia!

From the coat of arms and currency I would guess no. 12 to be a revenue stamp from Serbia.

Hope that helps,

Honza

No 1 is in Cyrillic and western lettering so it must be Yugoslavia, but not a postage stamp as the name of the country is not on it..

Not sure, but I think #9 is a Turkish revenue stamp

Looks similar to the sort of thing that was overprinted for use in Hejaz back in the 20s, so probably right.

I could read "Turkiya" in Arabic script on 7,9,& 10. So these are Turkey -- 100%.

I could read "Al Libnania" in Arabic script on No. 5 . So this is Lebanon-- 100%.

No. 8 is Egypt revenue which I also have and and posted and was comprehensively identified by stampboard members a few weeks back. So this is Egypt--100%

Thanks and regards

No. 11 is a stamp issued by Keren Kayemet Le'Israel (Jewish National Fund) in 1954.
It is part of a series of 3 stamps, commemorating the Diaspora. Apart from the brown issue, this series was also printed in green.
The wording on the stamp reads "Casino at Basle. Site of the First Zionist Congress".
