I had this strip of 3 stamps in my China/Rep. of China glassine but now I am unable to identify this in my Scott Catalog.

Could be Manchuria??

Looks like a fiscal (to me at least), so might not be in Scott.

They're Japanese revenues.

These are Japanese National Social Security instalment stamps. They were introduced in 2002, but their use has since been discontinued. According to the (Japanese) Wiki article, there were ten values, but I don't see the ¥250 listed. It might have been a later addition.

Barefoot lists a stamp with this value and design as a 1966 National Pension Fund stamp but as dark brown (and this looks red to me in the scan). It should have a blue-green security underprint.

Barefoot lists 70 different National Pension Fund stamps in various designs issued from 1961 to 1986.

I knew I had some somewhere! :D

Here are Barefoot #10 & #12 from 1966, #13 & #14 from 1968 and #16 from 1970.

Hi AMark,

I'm using South East Asia Revenues published in 2006.

Despite it title it covers a wide area of Asia from Burma and Nepal eastwards excluding mainland China.

I find it a very useful catalogue. :D

Nigel,

I know that Barefoot has a British Commonwealth Revenues catalogue.
Is there a worldwide revenue catalogue?

Thank you.

I think the last one was by Forbin in around 1915. :(

Barefoot also also published revenue catalogues for Albania & Greece, Austria, Baltic States, Benelux, Bulgaria & Romania, Czechoslovakia, Great Britain, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Scandinavia and Yugoslavia.
