I was wondering if anyone knows what is an Elbe Ne Plus Ultra album ? I know it was manufactured by the now defunct Elbe who made albums many years ago specially for the US, but I was trying to find out if the "Ne Plus Ultra" was pre-printed pages for a country or is it just blank pages ?? I have searched the net and can't conclusively work it out ? I figured some experienced hands out there must have come across a "Elbe Ne Plus Ultra album" before ?

Subway Stamp Shop in Altoona, Pennsylvania may know of this type of Elbe product. Subway buys and sells the old Elbe line which, I believe, went out of business in 1971.

I have scooped up many Elbe binders and manilla pages over the past decade, some completely brand new, yet 40+ years old, and I have never heard of it.

A quick trawl of the web got a translation:-

ne plus ultra - the state of being without a flaw or defect

So I would surmise it is the manufacturer's description of a luxury album.
