Michel Specalized. Soviet Zone (top) 224 & (bottom) 224l (maybe)

Description from the book:
"abweichender bogen der 5 in wertangabe 50 berührt unten nicht das haar"

Translate from Google translate:
"differing in the 5 arc worth 50 dates on the bottom does not affect the hair"

Of about 30 examples, they look like these 2.
Image

And two look like this. (Where the hair joins the "5")

The illustrations in the book are not clear, and looks almost like they reversed the images for the examples.

Or, is the simple answer just over-inking. :(

So, can someone help with an opinion, or maybe have one for example.

Thanks,
pat

Human translation:

Different curve on the 5 (of the 50 value) does not touch the hair at the bottom.

Thanks for the human translation. I suffer from monolingualism  , but with a little help from the dictionary and translators can usually scratch out an answer. Sometimes the google answer can be a bit funny.

asmodeus:
Thank you for the nice large color example. Under high magnification there is still a thread of connection on the one I was looking at, while yours shows a clear separation. So in looking closer it seems to be more a case of over inking as even the small lock of hair continuing down is missing.
Best to all,
pat
