In my 1997 edition of the Booth (British) FDC Catalog, the "England-West Germany" cover is #97h, priced at £15. It might be the only non-FDC in the catalog. The England-Uruguay cover is an interim quarter- or semi-final match, not separately listed.



Can someone with a recent catalog give me the current value for #97h, and an estimated retail for the other cover? Once I have a handle on the valuation, they will be offered in the sales thread. Thanks for your assistance.

Don't have my catalogue with me at work but for up to date catalogue prices the best resource is probably Bradbury's website http://www.bfdc.co.uk/1966/world_cup_football/
The link is to the 1966 world cup covers page and this will give you an idea of current value.
In terms of what they sell for though (as opposed to cat value) you may need to look at/ask other dealers such as http://covercollecting.com/ or ask someone like http://www.gbfdc.co.uk/ if they will give you an idea. Failing that Ebay will give a reasonable guide to price.

Hi Doug,

I've double checked both the Bradbury and Booth 2011 catalogues and neither have any listings now for either of these covers. I suspect therefore that the dealers themselves may be able to price them for you.
