Seoul has had the coldest day for 55 years, about -18°C.

Busan is down to -11°C tonight with about 20mph wind. It was very sunny all day though...I still prefer cold and dry to cold and wet!!!

Middle of winter, drought conditions, migrating birds finding 'wetlands' not so wet, and now
UK shivers in -11C cold snap amid forecasts of snow

Cold (minus 10 C) and all the media can talk about is the "elfstedentocht" - can it be skated this year or not? It's been 15 years ago so lots of people are looking forward to it, skating 200 kilometers through 11 Frisian cities.

There's also a bit of snow left from last friday, but the sun is shining and as you can wear proper clothing it's nice to be outside.

It's been below zero for most of the last month. Sun shining again today, and again about 0°C. The ultra-dryness is hurting my nose and eyes  I'm not used to this non-humidity!

Here in Perth we drift along in perpetual. Cooler than it has been but still hovering around 30 celcius. Just had a swim in the Indian Ocean. I feel no envy for the cold temps mentioned above.

A warmer day here - 27C - (supposed to be summer). Another storm today with heavy rain, some hail, plenty of lightning and thunder as well as being windy. 8 of the last 10 days there has been a storm, or two. After the storm had passed we had these beautiful cloud formations.

It was nice to get some rain in the middle of February. It's been overcast and wet here for the last couple of days, and for me it was a welcome change to the dry, dry, dry, and did I say dryness. Not quite Spring weather but warmer than the last few weeks. The good weather will arrive in Busan just as I head to Scotland for a vacation

Wet, wet, wet!

Our March average is 51 mm and, not having completed 4 days this year, we now have 189 mm (7.5 inches) and it is still coming down.

What is it with the weather this year? Two weeks ago we had the record highest February temperature at 17ºC / 71ºF
Today it's snowing again (exactly as forecast!).

And too late to edit it, my thanks to the North American reader who points out that my attempts at conversion for that reasers in that continent failed. 17ºC is 63-ish F

The second warmest February in weather keeping history.
All the cold weather has shifted to Europe. (sorry!)

At this time yesterday afternoon I was sitting in the garden in blazing sunshine under a cloudless sky with temps around 17ºC. Today it started foggy, and I doubt the temp has risen above 7ºC if that. You can have your *(at)€& weather back!

We were having a conference in Alpine and the temperature dropped into the 30's and 40's F.
Now after everybody left the temperature went up to 75F.
Still no precipitation.
Trip down Rio Grande cancelled because not enough water in the river.

Last week places in Aberdeenshire had record March temperatures of 24/25ºC.
Yesterday they woke to 6 inches of snow.
Today the snow is down to the Midlands with the road tops in Derbyshire closed.
Snow is due as far south as South Lincolnshire, on a latitude level with us here in Norfolk.

Meanwhile I had a call from a customer in NW London (Northolt) this morning reporting cloudless skies and brilliant sunshine. Yesterday's rain (started 4.30) continued at varying intensities all night and it's hammering down now. Which may allieve the drought conditions. Meanwhile the garden hose-pipe ban started in 20 areas (including ours) today.

Would someone please explain to the weather gods that it is not yet winter :!:

Here in Canberra we expect very cold, frosty mornings followed by clear mild days.

At the moment it is sleeting and the apparent temperature (after wild-chill) is -2.6°

Currently in the middle of a thunderstorm.
It hasn't stopped raining (exageration) since I got here.
Seen more rain in 5 days than I'd seen all year in Texas.

It was so hot this weekend...really awful!

I can't wait until Thursday. Wednesday is the longest day of the year here, after that it's all a steady descent into more and more darkness and eventually, cold.

Back to back two hottest days of the year in NY.
Records may fall today as it is already in the mid 90's.

Still HOT and dry as a bone! Still 101 today beats the 106 of last week. And of course Colorado Springs 40 miles to the north almost burned up last Tuesday- 1 dead 2 people missing and around 300+ homes burned down. Wish we could just get a drenching rain right now. :(

Nusa Lembongan is as usual warm, sunny and serene. Paradise on earth!

Ridiculously hot again in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Low 90s. Prediction for the next ten days - low-mid 90s (roughly 33-34 C). Can't wait to head north again where temperatures are in the low 80s (27-28 C), probably closer to the low 70s (21-22 C) at the cabin. It's not called Paradise for nothing.

Lots of midges and mosquitoes too?

My daughter worked at a summer camp in Kalkaska Mi for a couple of years....visited her once and I'm still recovering from the mosquito attack!

All of the camps counsellors and kids seem to be immune

No black flies, very few mosquitoes. We are somewhat mired in a draught. A month ago we had a 22,000 acre wildfire approach to within 15 miles of our place. Fortunately human effort and a timely three-day storm helped bring an end to the fire.
