JUNEE, New South Wales

The Monte Cristo Homestead was built in 1884 by Christopher William Crawley on the hill overlooking Junee. Mr Crawley died in the house at age 69 in 1910. His wife Elizabeth also died in the house in 1933 (age 92), some 23yrs later.

The current owners, bought the severely run down and vandalised property in 1963 and have restored the property to its former glory.

100′s of Ghost hunters have visited the property to conduct investigations capturing many strange occurrences from apparitions through to bumps in the night.

The owners run tours of the property every weekend.

Reported Occurrences

» Original owner and his wife have been seen.
» Faces appearing in the windows on the second floor
» Feeling of not being able to move freely when on the stairs.
» Strange noises.

PORTLAND Victoria

Whalers Bluff Lighthouse is on Whalers Bluff, also known as Whalers Point, in the regional city of Portland in the Western District of the state of Victoria in Australia. It stands about 1.5 km north of the city centre and overlooks Portland’s harbour. It is operated by the Victorian Channels Authority, part of the Port of Melbourne Corporation.

The lighthouse was originally built at Battery Point in Portland in 1859 and was known as the Portland Bay Light. In 1889 it was relocated, stone by stone, to Whalers Bluff in order to make room for gun emplacements at Battery Point.

TAMWORTH

Tamworth is a city in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia. Straddling the Peel River, Tamworth, contains an estimated population of 47,595 people and is the major regional centre for southern New England. The city provides services for an area population of 55,063, and is located midway between Brisbane and Sydney, the two largest cities on the Australian east coast.

Tamworth is nationally famous as the "Country Music Capital of Australia", annually hosting the Tamworth Country Music Festival in late January; the second biggest country music festival in the world.

It is also recognised as the "National Equine Capital of Australia" because of the high volume of equine events held in there and the construction of the world class Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre, the biggest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

The city is also known as the "First City of Lights", being the first place in the Australia to use electric street lights

Just for iomoon. This volcano in the Mt Tongariro National Park in New Zealand has just erupted. The last time was in 1897. Driving on the road to the east is an experience I would liken to being on a moonscape.
