Purchased cover on eBay from local seller. Couple of dollars so not concerned with non-delivery for awhile. I tend to buy too much so often loose track of the cheaper items while keeping an eye on the more expensive items sent registered.
I have often wondered if things have slipped by and/or maybe I just forgot I received something.

The other day I checked my eBay messages and received this "Sorry about the delay but Glen unexpectedly passed away. The item is now in the mail"

Felt a bit sad on a number of levels. My little problems are just that, little.

Might just smell the roses today and give the loved ones a hug.

I think that is sad. I also think it extraordinary that someone just bereaved could be bothered to deal with the deceased's (somewhat trivial) eBay affairs.

That would be my very last concern.

I've used that line quite a bit over the years.

I sold an item once, and got a letter in the mail with a cheque (from the USA), with a note saying the buyer had passed away, and someone was trying to settle his accounts, and asked me to send whatever it was they had bought anyhow.

I got an eBay purchase this week, with a note enclosed saying "sorry for the delay in shipping, I took a few days off to get married". The death of that guy's freedom.

Reminds me a little of this thread... A member was wondering where his stamps were, and the seller had gone to gaol for 14 months
