Been an issue for me for 2 days.

Have loaded this update several times, but I still get this stupid message despite logging out, closing down computer and logging back in.

Anyone else getting it?

Windows 7 on a PC using IE if that makes any difference.

Another reason to use Firefox (my #1 reason is I try to avoid anything Microsoft where possible). Using IE at all always seems to slow down my laptop PC's performance.

I did get a message from a website somewhere the other day telling me I should update Flashplayer. I downloaded a file from a link on the Adobe website, don't think it actually did an install of anything, but haven't gotten any more messages bugging me.

Might be time for some old-fashioned house-keeping.

Make sure your cache is clean, and that all old versions of both Adobe, and Java, have been shown the door. Firefox seems to be able to cope with a certain degree of information overload (i.e. too many versions of the same program sitting in the back seat, telling it what to do), while IE just gets hysterical.

The two links below are very useful, particularly the dns flushing.

Glen:

Are you using IE9? I haven't loaded that as yet, but I understand it does a few things "differently".

I've been in and out of Photobucket all week (both on MAC and PC) and haven't run into that message as yet. Make sure that you have done all the Windoze critical updates on your box, as well.

Of note......there have been a rush of Adobe updates recently, so it could also be something from that end (but I'm guessing it's most likely IE9)

Tried both mcgooley's suggestions and all unchanged.

LibrarianC - Had no idea what version of IE I have (not very tech minded sadly) .. and learnt something today as to how to discover that - however, seems to be still IE8!

I just tried Photobucket on IE8 and then Firefox with no problems.

However I would be tempted to find and delete the Flash 10 update that you installed.
Then go to the Adobe website itself and download the Flash 10 update from them and install it again.
Then try Photobucket again.
:D

For all you know the download they are linking to is already out of date compared to the download direct from Adobe.

I never download via a third party if I can go direct to the source company.

(Apart from all of the above, my Adobe updates all the time and probably went to ver10 whenever it first appeared as I never noticed any problem).
