I am installing a new scanner and found when I first started with the other scanner that there was an ideal resolution (dpi) for uploading to eBay etc--the staff there recommended it to me. Does anyone know what that would be? At one setting I tried it never would upload because there was too much data and at a very different setting it would not come out clear.

I have found that scanning at 300dpi generally gives the best results, and I've never had a problem with the uploading to ebay.

Having said that, it's been a couple of months since I have done that - there may be some changes I'm not aware of :?

I use 600dpi & just adjust the size of the picture in a image editing program - For Stampboards 840 x ... & Ebay 1000 x ...

I also use 600 dpi, it's the way to go...

I also use 600dpi. 300 seemed to do the trick in the past, but I have recently switched. The results are worth it.

For me it depends on the material.
I only sell mint sets and sheets from the last 50 years. I scan them at 200dpi.
But if I would sell older material I would scan sets and sheets at 300dpi and classic stamps at 600dpi.
