Just put up on ebay a 330gm bag of GB GVI on paper, there's some GV and some postage dues in there by the look of it. I've done nothing with it other than take it out a bigger box it was in.

OK -- here is something I bet you don't have and have never seen before -- a collection of French ration stamps from 1945-47. Thousands of them in full sheets...this would make a great-looking collection with proper organization and display. A neat project for someone who wants to collect and research something new...

Starts at $1 like most of my lots...

I have only recently started auctioning on ebay. I have some recent Decimal Australian Lots, a couple of Maltese and a few mixed or other country lots. They would be more suited to beginners and the starting bids are only 99 cents, my ebay username is maltaaussie71 if you'd like to take a look, you are most welcome to. Cheers, Ray.

I have two small Aussie kiloware lots on eBay at the moment. Both are very recent and comprise of the 60 cent values. One 5 scanner loads and the other 9 scanner loads.

These are usually very popular and the price realised usually puts a smile on the face.

I've recently listed a large number of worldwide MNH year sets including several for New Zealand, Australia, Japan Etc. All can be seen in my store :

http://stores.ebay.com/Cobbie-Stamps

If anyone from these boards is interested in any of the BIN lots, send me an email with the item numbers you are interested in and I'll reduce the price by 10% for you. DO NOT use the BIN before I've reduced the price as I am unable to deduct 10% from the ebay invoice once the lot has sold.

Mark.

Principality Auctions of Ascot, UK currently have 1033 new lots listed on ebay USA (a few on ebay UK). These are scheduled to finish on Tuesday 13 December.

This large tranche is an eclectic mixture. There are some quality unsold items from recent auctions, great spacefillers of highly catalogued adhesives and much superb original postal history. Particular items/sections of note include Canada from three 10d imperforates (including one on cover), Cape of Good Hope triangulars, Gibraltar postal history, GB from a couple of 1d blacks & with some scarce Official multiples, extensive all periods Malta postal history & truly superb Mauritius postal history featuring many extremely rare covers & cards from this popular territory.

Two fascinating "star" items are an extraordinary 1884 Australian cover with two GB 6d on 6d surcharges used "out-of-course" (Ex Lord Spens) & a 1918 SS Kenilworth Castle wreck cover originating in Mauritius (very unusual in relation to this wreck).

The majority of our lots are offered at a minimal start price of US 99 cents. To access our lots, click on the lot link

http://www.ebay.com/itm/290641406439

Then click on "See other items" which appears on every ebay page to bring up a full list of our lots.

We enjoy one of the best repuations on ebay with 4823 postive feedbacks & a 100% rating. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us via:

I have two lots on ebay that I thought might be interesting to the British Empire & Australia collectors. If nothing else, they are nice looking stamps that should have images on Stampboards. (Should I cross post to the "Share with others here your NICE looking stamp and cover images etc." topic?)

Please share your observations or comments, all I know about these stamps is from the Scott Catalog listing. Is the inverted wmk common for this issue?

The Stamps are the 3 shilling values from Victoria's first postage dues, perf 12.5 with V over Crown watermark. All are unused with full OG, Scott #s J8-J10. "Previously collected", they have matched layers of hinge remnants with similar small defects.

First up: the one shilling, which I made a separate lot when the wmk showed up inverted, in case someone was looking for that specifically. Can anyone suggest a cause for the dark diagonal line at the top of the reverse? It's not a crease or fold and appears to be in the gum itself. Note also the marks toward the bottom - could it be an expertizing signature, and if so, who's signature is it?

My opinion only, but you are on a different planet than me if you think 2 badly centred stamps with horribly aged gum, heaps of hinge remainders, hinge thins (described by you) and toned perfs are worth $175.

If you got even half that in the real world for 3rd grade stamps, I'd be amazed. If someone offered me $50 I'd be over the moon.

But what would us dealers know.

I have just listed some Zimbabwean inflation period stamps on ebay, and some elusive real commercial covers from the inflation period.

Three lots of postal reform related articles in British newspapers 1837-40 -- much interesting reading, especially the ones relating to the reforms and/or new postage stamps. Useful items if you want to show reactions by means of a contemporary document:

1840 newspaper - adverse reaction to design of adhesive stamps and Mulreadies

Complete 8 page copy of the Magnet newspaper for 11th May 1840 -- article/commentary entitled "The Very Extraordinary Postage Stamps!" This looks at the design of the new stamps and is not impressed -- intriguingly, and unusually, not only does it follow popular opinion in ridiculing the design of the Mulready, it also dismisses the design of the Penny Black as "a libel upon the fair countenance of our Queen" among other more flowery condemnations. Broadsheet size newspaper, folded down to almost precisely A4 size, fine condition.

1837 paper - mostly favourable reaction to Rowland Hill's Penny Postage pamphlet

Complete copy of Chambers's Edinburgh Journal newspaper for 20th May 1837 -- long article/commentary entitled "New System of Postage" which is a fairly early reaction to Rowland Hill's seminal pamphlet "Post-office Reform, Its Importance and Practicability". The writer looks at the arguments in some detail and agrees with most of them, balking only at the idea of being expected to prepay letters! A bit larger than A4 size (about 330x230mm folded), fine condition.

1839 British paper - favourable reaction to improvements in French postal system

Complete copy of Chambers's Edinburgh Journal newspaper for 5th October 1839 -- long article/commentary entitled "Improvements in the French System of Postage" dealing with the estafette expresses and the like. Larger than A4 size (about 350x240mm folded), fine condition.

Large images on the eBay pages.

Since I'm new to the board, I thought I'd share what I have listed on eBay. Everything is fixed price -- If you think the price too steep for something you want, make an offer and let me know you're a member of Stampboards.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/ddaannv/m.html?_trkparms=65%253A15%257C66%253A3%257C39%253A1&rt=nc&_dmd=1&_ipg=100&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_sop=10&_sc=1.

You'll find over 2500 listings including most recently listed China and Netherlands. Also USA, Russia, some British and Germany including German Southwest Africa (some expertized BOTHE BPP). Lots of comics Star Trek, Star Wars and Dr Who. Postcards in mint condition from the Curt Teich Co archive (all USA) and others including old black comic cards. Lots of books including old and new theology. Have a TERRIFIC day!

I'm pretty much clearing out my entire cover stock in one big happy lot:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200726135869

There are dozens of good covers that I picked out individually (and intended to list as single lots or in small related groups), as well as others pulled from various large lots. Mix of US & WW.

What I think is a very nice collection of Czechoslovakia was relisted by me a couple days ago:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/180950943927?ss ... 1555.l2649

The reserve on the lot is $75. Postage is high, I know but the darned lot weighs a ton. Sales outside the US are probably not practical and have specified so but am open at this point to change- postage to Australia would be horrific. Any questions welcome, i really need to get this out of my closet!

Another clearance lot:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MESE:IT

105 stockpages (Hagner, Vario, G & K) full of stamps! All kinds of stuff I've pulled out of boxes and collections and didn't assemble into country collections.

Will fit in a medium Priority box, so not too bad to ship. ($45 to AU I think).

First offI would like to thank the members here that by their comments have encouraged me to use an auction house (am I allowed to mention their name?) to dispose of my father's collection. This unique item was completely unexpected - the description is thus:
1927 1½d Canberra complete Plate Number '4' corner block of 4 BW #132zc, unmounted, Cat $3500 (mounted). [ACSC states that only 5 blocks of Plate Number '4' are recorded of which this may be the only
example showing the complete integer. An example with incomplete '4' sold for $2415 at a recent Melbourne auction]
Image
I have other items listed with them. I have scanned in detail & uploaded other items to my own web site. Am I allowed to include links here?

Recent fine used Tunisia, including revolution issues. Didn't see any other such offers, so no idea if a bargain or not:)

Among the items I have on ebay at the moment is a 1930s cover from china to England which I think is of interest:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/321034041555?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Sorry I can’t show a photo here – photobuckut has stopped working for me

Apart from the cover originating in Tangku, China and being on a Tangku Club envelope, the addressee is no other than W.H. Everett & Sons Ltd - a company that invented and patented an inking roller that could be used to print the initials of a company on the back of stamps – over the gum, as well as operating in the perfin industry

(see http://www.angelfire.com/pr/perfinsoc/articals/2009_04/everett.pdf).

Thus of GREAT interest to collectors of KGV and KEVII philatelic history.

Interesting lot for those who collect post-Soviet provisional material of ex-USSR member states.
Here I offer 178 postally used covers and postcards from Estonia 1992-1993. Majority non-philatelic, commercial usage.

My eBay username is toivo5161. Lot is nr 281070576248
Here's image I uploaded to photobucket:

Here's auction link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/281070576248?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649

Such as Imperial Russia 400 used, Belgian Congo four scans, Germany Inflation mint lot 5 scans etc.

Listed 6 stock books all full of miscellaneous hard-to-easily-describe stuff...but not junk...I at least thought it was worth putting on a page at some point when going through it.
