MORE FROM ALICE IN WONDERLAND !!!!!!!!

An uncut sheet maybe ?

Image

Londonbus1.......Now I need more than forty winks. Night all!

[The sheet is NOT 'browned' on the right hand margin, it was the scan, although sadly there is a crease there.....still nice though, especially if you live in a wonderland like I do !!!]

That is an interesting full sheet perf error you have there skippy.
Good to view it in it's entirety rather than just on a single stamp.

Here are two NZ Cinderella sheets commemorating the Panda visit to Auckland Zoo in 1988.

I picked this up from eBay [UK] this week for the bargain price of 99p !!!!!!
Generally retails for 8 or 9 times that in a full sheet, I have been after this for a long time for my British Stamp Exhibition collection but always been outbid or just plain missed it.

This time I was the only bidder !! :D
Recession maybe?

Either way, I was pleased finally to get the sheet.

After editing this entire thread, I thought I better conclude with a Cinder of my own!

The only reason that I have this one is that I am collecting stamps of my birth year - 1965 - stumbled across it and liked it!
:)

Hi Guys
Another gem from Mr King.
This one is the 1911 6d essay in sheetlets of 6, in the 6 different colours.
Have talked to Gerald and he tells me the quantities done for these reproductions was very limited.
I bought the remaning stock a couple of years ago, and have just about sold out.
Some bits and pieces left.

Hope the photo comes up??

Tim you have hit the "URL" button and you need to hit the "ADD PHOTO" button for photos to link off that URL.

You can edit .. so go in and do it again and see. :)

The Russian Leather Syndicate or similar.

Thanks for bumping this thread :) I see some great things already posted that I want to go back and look at over time.

I do like your exhibition labels especially the flowers on the Paris 1926 one.

Mothers' Chair Appeal - no idea

SDP 1/-. I first thought of the UK Social Democratric Party but this looks too old. Also the hands seem to be between Australia and Africa, or perhaps it's just over India.

MODERATOR COMMENT

Roger,

It isn't good to provide a direct weblink that allows access to your entire Picasa album. This is because it opens your album(s) to spamming, hijacking, viruses, etc.

I don't use Picasa myself but I know with Photobucket you just link the individual image you want and load it up here. The album should be set to private so nobody can access them without a password.

I'm sure there is the same facility in Picasa and I suggest you look at doing it for your own piece of mind.

I am sorry but I just don't understand.
The whole idea of the album is so everyone can see it.The goal is that it become a reference resource for pharmaceutical philately.

Here is a link explaining privacy at Picasa:
http://picasa.google.com/support/bin/an ... lev=answer
Why would they allow spamming, viruses? Why would they allow a link (or anything) that is public to allow damage?

Why would they allow spamming, viruses? Why would they allow a link (or anything) that is public to allow damage?

I noticed
FDCs: 1955-70s range of medical & pharmaceutical brand types, notably Sigma, few odd pre-decimals, decimals mostly single values, duplication in places (196), similar from GB & Channel Islands (61), sl flts, toning in places. Difficult to obtain.

as lot 286 in the latest status auction.

Sheetlet produced to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the Timaru
(NZ) Bicycle Postal Service. The price of the original "stamps" were
3c & those originals now fetch a substantial price. The NZ Postal Service issued a "Cease" notice on the schoolboys as they were in breach of postal regulations which provided a monopoly to the Post Office.

This sheetlet has a deliberate error, being the last stamp was printed
upside down.

A mix of British cinderellas, plus the Melbourne "emergency mailing" labels for parcels & letters to be privately carried during the Aust. wide postal strike. These were issued in January,1968.

Some stamp exhibition promo. material.

Empire Day reminder - you remember the EMPIRE don't you ??

Round Australia Redex reliability trial of 1954. "Gelignite Jack" Murray
was one of the more outlandish drivers who blew-up dunnies (while being used) with quarter sticks of gelignite. We used to watch newsreel footage of the race at the movies weeks after the event was over, as there was no instantanious television then.

A bump for this nice thread.

Record shop advertising labels usually stuck to the label of old 78s are usually plain squares of paper, or embossed die-cut so at the fringes of cinderellas.

This one though is properly perforated so eminently suitable to show here.

From the Netherlands, it appears to illustrate the rare Duplex gramophone manufactured between 1905 and 1909 in Kalamazoo.
