Pretty piece I bought from an estate today. The ICONIC Tom Roberts painting masterpiece on a huge stamp for that time.

This stamp's face was about 57 times the then 7c letter rate. At the time this was THE highest face value stamp we had issued - the $5 did not arrive for a few years.

i.e. each stamp had $34.285 buying power today - or $857 .. true!

This old chap had bought it at face as it had the full unfolded gutter.

The ACSC lists and cats the colour autotron block - and number blocks etc.

Face value $100! Replaced in 1979, so one seldom sees larger multiples.

All stampboard lots under $A200 are mailed Unreg’d, as reported delivery problems are near nil. If Reg’d is required, STATE that on order form – cost is extra $A4 local, and minimum $A13 extra foreign. 'All risk' Insurance is always possible if required, at $A2 per $100 covered - again it must be specified on order form.
