Hi again!
I have seen many many philatelists having interest in 11/11/11 Post marks. Many demand postcards, covers with this postmark.
It might have been as the single number (one in this case) was in all places.

In this manner, will 12/12/12 Post mark also be worth collecting?
Thanks
Sincerely
Kaushik :)

Yes. It will be worth collecting. Some will even try for 12/12/12 12:12 the last being the hour and minute (and second if someone can find an atomic clock postmarker :D ). The price/value/cost/worth of such will always be in the eye of the beholder.

Hi!
Does the postmark say 08 a.m. on 08.08.1988?

Thanks !:)
Dear Pat
I have one suggestion!
Just a suggestion though, all of you'll can think over it in due course of time.
My suggestion is, members who are willing to collect 12.12.12 Post marked postcards/ envelopes could mail such postcards/ envelopes to each other on the day.
So, the philatelists will get such postmarks from many nations arounf the world!
How's the proposal?
You could start a thread about it as well! :D

Regards
kbdessai

Using 12c stamps wouldn't hurt either. :)

There is a philatelist in Bangalore, India, - Prof. V. S. Yalvigi, who has collected postmarks right from year 2001 - 01/01/01 so on and waiting to complete the one with 12/12/12

even Malta Post has issued covers with those special date postmarks.

But I don't think India issues stamps of Rupees 12 denomination!

They issued cards not covers. They are known here as Philatelic Bureau Cards (PB Cards). All except for no. 1 are available here:

I have collected all the Malta cards since the 01.01.01 issue. However, one thing which irked me with these cards is that since Malta post became a private company, they started using high value stamps on these cards.

There will almost certainly be a 12-12-12 postmark from Birmingham UK similar to this one

Image
The 11-11-11 one had a poppy illustration.
