There is an immense pool of philatelic knowledge on the internet but sometimes it's difficult to track down your specific query even with a search engine such as Google.

I run a Stamp Website Links List, it started as a place for me to keep my Favorites when Firefox updated and deleted all my existing Bookmarks, it has grown to over 500 links with a searchable function.
You can also ADD links to it and create your OWN Favourite Bookmarks.

I use this site a lot: www.bookfinder.com. Picked up a C L Pack "Half Lengths" for less than $AUD50, many copies of the 1966 Rosenblum for less than $10 each and also just to compare asking prices or estimates at auction.

Don't know if this is already posted but it has many PDF downloads of scanned Philatelic research works, all appear to be no copyright infringement.
I've found quite a few very useful especially early GB stuff.

But some of them are large files so will take a bit of downloading.

Here's a great stamp database that helped me out on some very difficult to find w/mark info. just this afternoon.

It has a ton of helpful stuff as shown in their current site statistics:

157,253 stamp types
77,568 collection objects
946 countries and other issuers
19,771 images

Thanks for the kind words! I'm reminded that I need to spend some more time scanning watermarks... Also, beware that in some cases a watermark is incorrectly recorded as still being in use for modern types, needs to be fixed.

In that vein, I'd also like to point out that StampData is designed as a wiki, and I'm always looking for people with philatelic knowledge who'd like to sign on as editors. (Unlike Wikipedia, StampData is not open to anonymous editing, as editors get some powerful/dangerous mass-editing tools, like "set watermark to multiple cockerel for all stamps of Malawi 1966-77".) If you're interested, let me know and I'll set you up.
