Listening to the radio while waiting for my favourite radio program will start, Sexy. There they play all kinds of good music, I have encountered everything from metal, 1930s blues, soul, rap, rock etc.

At this moment, one of my Rod Stewart favorites.

The first two lines must have been written by a stamp
dealer.

"...If I listened long enough to you,
I'd find a way...to believe...that it's all true..."

Excellent - I remember when it first came out, the record shops here all had to obscure the front cover in their window displays - showing the "B-word" was in contravention of the Obscene Publications Act and they were liable to be fined.

Oh, how the world has changed.

Currently going through a Manic Street Preachers phase....

Every group you guys mention (many of which
I've never heard of), I go to YouTube, search,
and give them a listen.

With tens of millions of groups out there, I'd
never know these favs without your comment,
thanks!

The earlier material is very good, but then they started to stray away from the path and experimenting too much for my taste.

Right now I'm listening to Narcotic (Long Version) with Liquido.

I recently got hold of Carpenters Gold, which consists of 2 CDs and a DVD of the Carpenters greatest hits. The DVD in retrospect is sad to watch, as you can see, on screen Karen getting more and more emanciated over time, and, knowing what happened to her, it is tear inducing.

But that voice.... I would have gone to bed with her voice alone. And the music is immortal.

Yesterday Once More
Superstar
Rainy Days and Mondays
Goodbye to Love
I Won't Last a Day Without You
Solitaire
We've Only Just Begun
Close to You
This Masquerade

and the almost perfect A Song For You:

Quote:
And when my life is over remember when we were together
We were alone and I was singing this song for you

... and you listen to it and almost think she was. Karen, you will never be forgotten.

Norm
