Hello there Santa Fans!

I gave my gifts to Santa for delivery, but forgot to post that I'd posted, if you see what I mean

Also Santa's First class delivery from Australia arrived today in Busan.
Cheers! No postmarks, so I can't tell where it was posted. I won't open it till Christmas Day, so I'll add some pics then.

Merry Christmas!

A lovely package arrived in Korea today! Posted from Chennai Airport! Nice postmarks and stamps on the envelope. I won't open until Christmas, but I will post detail then.
Until then Thanks very much from A Happy ScotsmanAbroad!

Santa paid me a visit today all the way from the UK.

As the handwriting was similar to that of a friend who lives over there I opened it and found that it was not from her but instead a nice bunch of GB minisheets and a booklet of Xmas stamps.

Thanks very much Santa from the colonies. I will now have some mint items to put in my somewhat patchy collection of used GB!

Merry Xmas to Santa and all other stampboarders - may Santa bring you all sorts of philatelic delights and a new year full of cheer.

Here's a scan from my stocking:

Santa's ( Not quite a secret thanks to the address on the back of his " Elf"'s envelope ) present has safely arrived ! I don't wait till Christmas to open my presents ----much too keen to see what's inside>

I certainly will have a colourful Christmas, lots of minisheets from Netherlands, Faroes and Isle of Man

Too much to do in a single scan so thank you Santa! ( Ton)

Wow I can't believe I actually see one person from Ex-Yu country ;) Dje s' ba! :)

My two parcels were sent yesterday and Margo I am sorry - forgot 'not to put my name' behind envelope, but during to my previous experiences with also registered mail's and 4 months travel of one of my letters (which I assume was an record in postal travels), next year I will be more 'secret' ;)

Also I've got today my S.Santa parcel with beautiful calender for 2012. and everything what is in it is so precious.. I am so sorry that our post isn't that much IMAGINATIVE to make so nice packages for stamp issues but you obviously have to give us some time to get into whole stamps investing things..

Also I know that me and one guy from Niksic are just two persons which are exchanging with stamps in real time (nowadays) that come from Montenegro. People aren't intrigued with that old hobby or have somewhere hidden stamps from their grandfathers and grandmoms ;) - so happy receiving people :)

Again, a shame the Elves do not listen to Santa and get the nice farnking cancelled.

Maybe he will give them a box around the ears & tell them to pay attention to detail in future......

In my country post officer MUST CANCEL all stamps on parcel - I know because I worked in post office, you can just pull over one or 2 letters in 1 thousand without cancellation

From my Secret Santa somewhere in Germany.

A note that starts: "Secret Santa knows you are collecting PNG and Kangaroos ..."

Does he what? I am totally overwhelmed.

Image

This kangaroo photo type postcard was sent to Germany while I was still living there, in 1951. Now she's been repatriated, 60 years later. :D

Plus a whole bunch of registered covers.

Santa, I am going to pass one of these on to another Stampboarder. Much as it will look lovely in my collection, it will fit even better in his.

You will understand when he posts an acknowledgement somewhere on Stampboards.

Overall a great and very thoughtful gift. Thank you sincerely. :D :D :D

Santa is travelling to the most unlikely corners of the world. He had Brian, an elf in the far reaches of Western Australia, send me a package of French and Canadian stamps, spiced with a first watermark kangaroo and a reminder that the 12 days of Christmas were just starting.

Image

I will be looking at French cancels for a while.

Thanks Santa for a well selected gift.

My secret santa package arrived on Friday. Thanks so much! I loved the candle, the Christmas figurine and the fridge magnet(another collection I keep on my refrigerator) Those chocolate ginger treats are something new, very good. And of course the nice bunch of Australian stamps on the package. Suprisingly they got through without the USPS defacing them with a sharpie! Something new for my Australian album...This is my 2nd year participating and have not been dissapointed at all. Just hope my package arrives in one piece. Again thanks and Merry Christmas to all!

Dear Secret Santa

Your magnificent present, postmarked Hong Kong, 7 December, arrived in my post box this morning, 14 December 11.

Santa: how did you know I enjoy Dim Sum?
The book is beautifully printed.

The magnificent MS on the package is so colourful and matches the book cover!

Thank you very much.
Have a great Christmas/Holiday Season and New Year 2012.

HOH*OHO secret Santa in Canada, many thanks for the package which arrived today in Wollongong NSW Australia.

I must mention that Australian Quarantine Inspection Service gave your package a once over before delivery! It may have looked a bit suspect to them on first glance! A parcel with no return address, marked as being from 'santa', with lots of stamps on it (something that probably is unusual nowdays!)... and it would have shown up on the X-ray as being of organic material... Declaration marked as "treats".... Suspect! Haha

Needless to say, they opened it up to check it out and as the contents (Canadian coffee in vacuum sealed bags) checked out as being OK to enter the country, your package was duly re sealed, with the addition of a Quarantine notice, and an "opened by Australia Post for inspection by quarantine" sticker affixed to the package. The notice explained that sniffer dogs and/or x-ray had indicated that the package could contain something of quarantine concern and thus it was examined- and clearance given as nothing prohibited was in the package.

Yay! New coffee to try! And it was still a surprise as the contents were not listed on the package when inspected. Thanks Santa!

Received a package from an Australian (ok, no surprise there :) ) Santa today!

Santa was hiding in Deepdene, Victoria, Australia, and mailed on November 29.

Haven't opened it yet because I was on my way to work, but when I get home tonight expect some photos of the contents! 8)

Santa has arrived today.
Not so secret since the name was on the back of the cover.
Anyway, I will wait until Christmas to open the gift.

In the meantime, here is an image of the cover.

Thank You Santa.

Cheers!

So, here's what my Secret Santa sent me:

Image

A very nice mix of Australian and Christmas Island stamps, perfectly cancelled, and virtually undamaged on the long way over here! :D

Inside was a GB 1980 minisheet:

Image

Plus a couple of Koala Conservation blocks -- never seen these before! :) -- and a Wetlands Conservation stamp.

Image

And finally, a couple of '99 Melbourne Exhibition souvenir prints.

Image

Thank you, Santa! :D

Actually, Santa also included his business card  In keeping with the spirit of the event, I'm not showing it here.

Not so secret since the name was on the back of the cover.

Hmmm! :D Something tells me your Not-So-Secret Santa is the same as mine :D

Well, Santa seems to have just been in Dandenong, Victoria! I just received a great big Australia Post Tough Bag full of goodies! An official presentation book of the Anzus stamp issued to commemorate the visit of President Obama in November to Canberra, 2 FDC of joint issues between Australia and the U.S., an official Anzus First Day Cancel on a Anzus envelope and another on a Anzus post card (Australia Post) ----- and a very nice Christmas card from Santa with a Koala Bear!!

As if that's not enough it was franked with 2 Anzus stamps and 4 "Coral Sea Battle 1942" stamps, all with Beautiful "Dandenong Plaza PO" cancels!
Thanks Santa, I love it :D

Santa's packet arrived yesterday - All the way from Norway. And delightful it was - including chocolate treats, a wonderful assortment of Noway, a special packet of Noway birds on stamp (Santa did his research apparently) and a nicely franked parcel! :D :D :D

Thank you Santa,
Happy Holidays to all!

And special thanks to Margo for organizing again this year.

Thanks to all who have added a note about receiving their Secret Santa. Good to see so many lovely gifts zooming and nice franking about the planet.

I've had quite a few anxious emails from Santas wanting to know if their presents have been received. Would you mind putting up a quick note on this thread if you've received a present and haven't posted ?

Many thanks
Margo

I never knew Canada grew coffee trees. That must be like the economic statistics that show Germany as one of the world's leading producers of cocoa, another tropical product (raw beans are imported and processed, thus technically the country is considered the 'producer').
