Right you are -- King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1927. Surprised me!

Our King Juliar Gillard was born in Wales, and will fortunately, soon be de-throned.

Not soon enough sadly, before our power Bills go up another 30% due to her stupid Carbon Tax that no other country seems to have rushed into copying, for obvious reasons.

The BREATHING TAX she next plans will not be popular either.

I will show my igorance of the world political scene I suppose.

Is King Julia Gillard an Australian PM or some high government figure?

Apologize for being so narrow a focused American. Our news media seldom talks about other countries unless it is someplace we want to make war with and anything and everything to do with Africa. Other than that the rest of the world seldom makes American news sad to say.

She could introduce a tax for blowing hot air, but then Pols would all end up in the poorhouse from the huge bills they'd be slapped with.

HM Rama IX, the reigning monarch in Thailand, was not in direct line of succession to the throne, so his parents went to the USA to study I believe. Due to various events, the country went through several kings quickly, and he ended up being chosen when he was a university student in Switzerland.

Forgive GlenStephens for he knows not what he does.

Julia Gillard is our duly elected but rather unpopular Prime Minister. You can believe Glen when he says she is unlikely to win the next election (some time away yet) but his reference to King Juliar is Aussie sarcasm at its best.
