Hello,

I need some help with this stamp.

in my yvert tellier it's only reported in SAUDi ARABIA NEDJED as "timbre du chemin de fer du Hedjaz" (train cancel of Hedjaz), but ONLY with overprints (3 differents).

it's not reported in Hedjaz.

this one in image as no overprint.

I cannot give you a complete answer but I notice in the Stanley Gibbons catalogue that they also only list the overprints (and there are a number of them).

However they do describe the originals as "Turkish Railway Tax stamps".
Would they be listed in yvert under Turkey?

My reading of Gibbons is that the Nejdi Occupation of Hejaz created stamps by overprinting:

- stamps of Turkey
- Notarial revenue stamps of Hejaz
- Bill revenue stamps of Hejaz
- Railway tax revenue stamps of Hejaz
- Hejaz postage stamps

If this is the 'railway tax stamp of Hejaz' without an overprint, then it is a revenue, not a postage stamp and will not be listed by Gibbons, Scott or Y&T.

I will try to see "Turkey" in Yvert (not in my hands now, as I am out for holidays).

about tax, fiscals or revenues, they are only partially listed in Yvert. You can find a.e. Belgium railways.
