Looks like 967, but that doesn't seem to correspond to a town name of SP..................K :?

Hi lake90,

I think you will find that it is SPARKE'S CREEK

Woodlands had a P.O.1/3/1879 Numeral cancel was 967
Changed it name to Sparke's Creek 2/9/1907

Woodlands is 24k from Scone.

I hope this is of some help.

Best regards David :)

Can someone tell me where I can get one of those books with the number cancellations?

I want to find the number for Jingellic, NSW and have tried all sorts of searches online, but haven't had any luck.

Julie -- for cds you can use this.

https://www.premierpostal.com/cgi-bin/w ... W&country=

The BOOKS are long out of print .. start an ad in "WANTED" if you need one for others towns.

It is supposedly on page 60 but I can't see it, sorry!

Hi Julie,

I think you will find that Jingellic used the number 1609.

This information was obtained from the books
"N.S.W. and A.C.T.
Post, receiving, Telegraph & Telephone Offices.

By N.C.Hopson and R. Tobin.

You may still be able to get them from premierpostal or from Prestige Philately.

Best Regards David :)
