Hawthorn JUST scraping in against a cellar dweller and Collingwood getting whupped by 16 goals.

Thank goodness the Swans are next up, to show these 2011 has-beens what WINNERS do at the BUSINESS end of the season.

Carlton/StKilda This is a tough game to pick and has ramifications for the finals. Hawthorn should hang their heads and the Swans can raise theirs.

Thanks for playing this year.

First of all, I would like to thank Peter S, Kriszick, Catweazle and Drew Thompson for donating spot prizes during the season which made the tipping so much more interesting, keepin up the interest and adding to the fun.

For the major prizes, thanks to Glen Stephens, Kevin Morgan and fletches1 for donating some very nice stuff which made the competition worthwhie to those of us who participated.

I would also like to thank every member who contributed to the thread throughout the season, and made this thread such a success.

Now, onto important matters. The prizes:

Prize for the WORST tipster A $50 e-voucher for any of the 15,000 stamp items on fletches1 huge website - http://stampmall.com.au - good for members globally.

Last Place Champion goes to sj_perth, who placed incorrect tips above and beyond the call of duty, and worked hard all season. Well deserved.

Third Prize: Kevin Morgan annual "Stamp News" sub within Australia - value $89.50. Most generous, and thanks for assisting once again Kevin!

SMSSLT , with 146 winners for the season, who lead for a number of weeks but Richmond let him down and he fell at the final hurdle.

Second Prize: A $100 e-voucher for any of the 15,000 stamp items on fletches1 huge website - http://stampmall.com.au - good for members globally.

brickfield with 147 winners, congratulations as Runner Up, and only lost on a countback to...

First Prize: A $150.00 Credit Voucher from Glen Stephens, which can be used to purchase anything from http://www.glenstephens.com that you wish.

wilbaer, also on 147 winners, congratulations on being the King Tipster of 2011.

Thanks again to everybody. Could the winners please contact the prize givers, whom I will thank once again to arrange for collection/selection.

And another looonnngg tradition is shattered.
Richmond lost today, thus breaking their long tradition of coming good late in the season,
to finish 9th,
and promising to do better next year
Should we start a tipping competition, on who will be coaching, and where, next year???? :?: 8)

Congratulations to the Winners & Participants and the people who put in HOURS of work to make it all come together.

brickfield your e-Voucher has been sent.

Just follow the instructions to Redeem it, which adds it to your Account. Then you can spend it at your leisure. It does not expire.

Please note it is NOT valid on items in the Collectors Consignment area, as these are not my property to give away.

sj_perth. If you contact me by the board email with your Name & email address I will send the e-Voucher to you.

To help here is a link to instructions on how to Redeem and spend the e-Voucher (Gift Certificate). Just follow the instructions, & if you get stuck I can help via Phone or email.

ps. I have just moved my Website to a new Domain and the SSL (Secure Certificate) is not activated and is throwing up an error.( Now Fixed)

No problem, the site is perfectly SAFE, just the SSL certificate is "Chucking a Wobbly".

Click on the Exemption Button at bottom to make it go away..

I can scarcely believe that Port Adelaide avoiding the wooden spoon was the difference in the end...

My commiserations go out to SMSSLT and Brickfield..... hard to believe that it all came down to the final match after 24 rounds. I got lucky....

Many thanks to all the prize sponsors for their generosity... very much appreciated.

Finally, a huge thanks to Norm for his stalwart work throughout the year under trying circumstances and I am sure that I speak for all of us in thanking him greatly and hope that the health issues do not rear their ugly heads again.

Until next year, when the SWANNIES will be trying to retain their premiership !!!!!!!

Of course had one of the top four taken my advice and selected the Catters in Round 24, there would have been no issue as to who won.

Food for thought next year, maybe?

Congrats to wilbaer and all the winners.

Congratulations to wilbaer, and all the winners, and to those who donated the very nice prizes.

To you Norm, thank you for all your hard work, week in and week out, it is appreciated.

First Prize: A $150.00 Credit Voucher from Glen Stephens, which can be used to purchase anything from http://www.glenstephens.com that you wish.

================

Congrats to willbaer .. and please contact me to redeem your prize.

GREAT to see a Swans supporter winning this year!!

What I want to know is seeing I tipped all Swans games and came near last, how on earth did YOU come top??!!

And thanks to all the generous members who offered prizes, and to all those who took part. Excepting MargoZ who dropped out half way through as even I was outscoring her.

And extra special thanks to Norm for all the cat herding. 8) 8)

Tracking all the tips among that chatter for ~2500 posts was a massive job.

Apart from his obvious and serious error in adding my scores incorrectly every match, the rest of the operation went faultlessly. 8)

We have outbid Rupert Murdoch and Price Waterhouse to secure his services for 2012, and the initial payment of 50 grams of the very finest Bangladeshi Grade "T" sticky rice has been mailed down to Lara.

You may be on to something there, bathurst-stamper.... if Geelong lose to the Hawks, they'll be playing the mighty Swans... and we all know what will happen then. Can we make that prelim final at Kardinia Park please ???!!!

Only if Sydney can beat St. Kilda, in Melbourne.

Thank goodness the Swans are next up, to show these 2011 has-beens what WINNERS do at the BUSINESS end of the season.

Glen, please get it right! We sent Box Hill (Hawthorn's VFL affiliate) to the Gold Coast and they still won. Most of the Mighty Hawks had a week off to get ready to upset poor old Norm on Friday night. :D

I suppose you know there are very strict quarantine regulations, when it comes to what is euphemistically referred to as 'food', crossing the border from NSW into VIC???

Congratulations Wilbaer!

I feel like the Thomas Voekler of the footie tipping, leading for so long but with Brickfield aka Andy Schleck and Wilbaer aka Cadel Evans always sitting on my back wheel and then pouncing at the last minute!

And of course a big thanks to Norm

Well I DID say it was 50 grams of the very finest Bangladeshi Grade "T" sticky rice.

"Grade T" comes with extra additives they say. And given our limited budget here we could not stretch to Grade A or B etc.

And if these additives are FREE ... well ..............

Congratulations to all the winners and a BIG THANK YOU to Norm for all his hard work.

I think I can remember posting very early in the piece something to the effect that John Worsfold had a secret plan.

Well now it's open for all to see!

The EAGLES are flying high and heading for the upset of the century.

Norm

There is a lot of work and time constrained effort in running this competition. We all thank you for it - well done!!!

Whilst your cats have done well (and ANYONE who beats the collywobblers [especially twice   ] is a legend in my book) you must realise that when the SWANNIES get further into the finals you will face some disappointment as we will again whip your A^%$$Se!!!

Sorry for the delay, just been in/out of day surgery, and my the daughter went and split her 11 month old head open in the lead up.

Its not any easier tipping the losers, just lack of competition so it seems.

Norm, Im passing my prize to you as you deserve it. If I need to tell fletches this please let me know.

Congrats to the real winners of the comp, the stress was hopefully worth it.

And what a great sporting gesture by sj_perth there. Great recognition for Norm for all his hard work in this. 8)
