Here's 3 nice India KGV high values, the 10 rupee with a choice SON postal cancel (I hope) and the 15 and 25 rupees with two different types of telegraph cancel (close to worthless :shock: ).

Beware of paying a big price for non-postal cancels.

I think your 10 Rupee probably is a genuine postal cancel. Apparently Nagrakata is the centre of a tea-growing area, so no prizes for guessing what might have needed so much postage (160 times the basic domestic letter rate) :lol:

Not if our local fair dealers prices are anything to go by (or the realisations on eBay). Those who do realise that they are telegraphic don't really care that much and certainly aren't keen to change their price to reflect this. Just my observations from the south coast of the UK...

BTW, your 10 R is very nice :-)

Scott has a note that they are worth 10% to 15% as much as postally-used copies, and suggests that there are a LOT of them around, but I agree, they are better than nothing.

What's the percentage for Commonwealth high values with actual revenue cancels?
