Not sure if this will benefit anyone else, or if it's just me.

I would find it handy if in the forum indexes, the "Author" column were also to contain the date (not time) of the first post.

The date and time are found in the "Last Post" column, so this kind of thing is possible.

Not sure if our version of bulletin board will allow it ... but I ask for it if possible.

Just hang your mouse over the link you want and it will show the date and time originated.

(at least it does for me)

It works but only shows that in the actual "board index" menu screen.
I tried it in the "view new posts" menu and... no go.
