For those of you with Firefox, this works nicely:

To magnify, use Ctrl++ (control plus plus)
To reduce, use Ctrl-- (control minus minus)
To reset to normal, use Ctrl0 (control zero)

Use the +, -, and 0 keys on the keypad. Repeat as necessary.

If you use another browser, simply Google a phrase like "how to magnify in Internet Explorer," etc.

Another way is to simply hold down the Ctrl key & roll your mouse wheel back & forth.

Agreed, but how do you get the image(s) back to "true" normal? How do you know how far to roll the mouse wheel backwards??

A Mouse wheels rolls both 'backwards' and 'forwards', does the same job as 'CTRL ++' etc.

ALL of the above work in Internet Explorer on my computer.

Darrin.

Despite my aversion to all things Apple, I got an iPad recently.

To magnify with that it's as easy as "pinching" the screen out. To reduce back to normal just reverse that process.

You really can't believe how fast Stampboards and other websites load up and how clear the images are on an iPad.

Except for word processing and spreadsheet work I have now ditched the laptop

IE shows 100% at the lower right corner, or whatever magnigication you're at.

Make that IE8. IE7 and earlier do not have this feature.
Available settings are 50%, 75%, 100% (default), 150%,
200% and 400%. I frequently view Stampboards images
at 200%.

Opera has a slider bar at lower right and Firefox has - and +
buttons at upper left. Neither one will tell you a percentage
like IE8 does.

I've never tried Chrome, but I would assume it has a similar
feature.

Rolling he mouse wheel back to the start point is easy - it won't go any further. (Mac OS10.7.2, Ffox 3.6.25)

Doesn't work, just tried. Rolling the mouse wheel "back" all the way reduces the text to a string of ant-footprints 0.5mm long.

Since I have spread-sheets and specialty downloads with precise column widths, etc., it's essential I get back "to where I was" or I will have a mess next time I open them (confirmed, tried that too).

I'll stick with Ctrl plus plus and Ctrl 0. (With my eyes, very rarely do I need to make anything smaller, LOL)

You do it "by eye" - in other words, forget about "true normal", and set it where it looks good for you.

btw - with my Moderator Superpowers, I've moved this to the Tech Forum which seems a more appropriate home for it...

Cheaper, at least, than buying a new computer which does operate as I suggested
