Two cards. A few months apart. Both from Bocas del Toro to the same person. One got the "Paquebot" cancel, one did not. Most probably went on a United Fruit Company's banana boat.
Just some odd&ends.
It would seen the united Fruit Company had a bit of a checkered past.
The United States completed the present Panama Canal in 1913 and officially opened it in 1914
"With the completion of the major work on the canal in 1913, some 5,000 workers were transferred to the United Fruit Company's banana plantations in the western province of Bocas del Toro."
"Bocas del Toro: meaning “mouth of the bull” - name of city and province developed by the banana industry, which is wholly in the hands of the United Fruit Company. Annual shipments from this locality now amount to about 7,000,000 bunches (in 1914)."
"In addition to controlling large amounts of land, United Fruit also had a stranglehold on transportation, with its own fleet of ships and railroads. This allowed United Fruit to provide tropical fruits like bananas and pineapples at a lower cost than the competition, ensuring market security."

Lots more history on the United Fruit Company on the web.
