Hello, after I tried to change the headline in my last topic and didn´t manage, I open up a new one.

Maybe a moderator can let me know if I am able to do this

Here I am with my next question:

I have strips with numbers 121- 125, these would fit to the Michel Numbers.

But I have notes with a "N" and a number, I tried writing these beside each strip.

Can anyone give me an idea what´s up with these numbers?
Thank you in advance

I believe the N numbers refer to shades. See from just over half way down this page:

Hey there stamps1804, Nice Downey Heads! And thanks for popping a link to the Downey Head thread The Pom, I am flatterned. :P

The N(x) numbers are the specialized Stanley Gibbons catalogue numbers. They allow a simpler way of identifying the major types of Downey Heads. Here are the 1d. Downey Head values with the N(x) number at the top.

Hope this helps, and if you have any other questions about the Downey Head issues, please feel free to ask on the linked thread, or even send me a PM if you want. I would be more than happy to help you if I can!

Also, if you are looking to sell your Downey Heads, I am buying or I can offer solid material back as trade.

Just sayin'
