Ron,
I can verify as to Jason's work habits.......He is consumed by the computer. Although he did make a few sales. You'd better check the Jewish Piano tape.

It was funny, the first time I've ever had a good discussion with Phil. Andre was in and bought some more, just to help keep the pockets from being empty. I snaffled some more VG's from one of the albums but will replace them with similar stamps. Put some money into the swear/poor box just for old times sake- no I didn't swear 'os Gerry and Lawrence weren't there.

Posted Noel's letter complete with 3S.H.B's.

Sorry all for the delay in getting this GOMC update on the board, I think the camera had poltergeists.
First some of the photos did not want to leave the camera, then once i got them on the system,
photobucket did not want anything to do with them, but with perseverance, with the help of bell, book
and candle, i finally quelled photobucket.
So I now present, for your viewing pleasure, what i like to call the evidence...

As you can see space was at a premium, as Mrboggler picked up a few more cartons at the auction than he really has room for.

In English- well Australian English to be precise.

Sherro is the shifty looking one who has retired far from the rest of us. Sneakily looking through the albums so that we couldn't get a look in. I saw his hands and eyes quivering though, as he went through one album. I don't know what became of the album as I couldn't find it later to check for treasures.

An interesting note: Sherro turned up very, very early on the Monday. That was after posts here about the riches of KGV to be found.

Got another carton of Stuff yesterday.some bits and pieces in it,
included in it was a World Animal Covers Set, ex Franklin Mint, all the receipts are still with the album,

this poor sod payed Franklin Mint $1500.00.for this lot of 106 covers with 1 stamp attached from a set and in most cases it was the lowest value from the set.
must say the Album is very nice, and the covers are attractive,,,but I will be putting them out at either a $1.00.each or perhaps even 50 cents, or as a lot with the Album $100.00.and I still feel thats expensive,

Gerry has been in and found the early Veitnam covers, out of the 1st lot from Sat.

I have hidden away some VERY nice unusual Aussipex items for the Letcher.so make sure you are in tomorrow, for the fun.

I nearly forgot, there was a LITTLE bit of GV.stuff as well.also some VG with it,so you should be happy too.

That Album Sherro was looking at,,, is now in the basket with a hefty price on it.

What's this about being a little unhinged.....A man of strong conviction is what I is.... Now was that a shovel or a spade?

Looks like a shovel but feels like a hammer...a sledgeing hammer...

Well we had a good attendance at the GOMC yesterday.
Me,Harry Lawrence,Bruce,Bill. & Jason,Gerry was a late arrival,

(he,s the only silly bugger who works,)unfortunatly he is a drainer, and when he arrives there is ALWAYS little piles of dirt left where ever he puts his feet,(We should have called him Linus)

The high light of the day ..

Harry produced not one,not a page, not a few,but a Bloody great album Full of 100,s of Forgeries, mostly all Classic stuff,
it was a wonder to look at ,
Some were very easy to spot,.some were very rough, but many did fool most of us there. :? :? :?

Bruce brought in a 4 inch thick Album of USA.and I must say not too many gaps were seen .inc BOB stuff as well.

all up a most enjoyable meet, :) :)

I got a compliment from old Harry- about some nice New Guinea stamps then a smack on the wrist because they were housed in an old Chinese stockbook that weighs a ton.

Bowing to his knowledge and experience, I vowed to move them to a Lighthouse stockbook provided by our benefactor ( paid for of course....)

I had you in mind for it. but I missed out as I was running out of money,,, I think it finally sold for $1.50. :?:

Cousin Kenny,
I hope you like the contents, the covers were supplied by Uncle Ron and the stamps and postage by me. The stamps were added at Uncle Ron's request. I would have added the last one in the series but they are a bit expensive ( a green 1932 stamp- missing from most collections).

You might like to share your present with us, when you have time to scan them.

ps.s. Is there a shorter way of writing your address, the lady at the PO wondered why I was taking so long. I hope it's got a nice Croydon cds.

I don't think the Victorian Mail system extends to Sinney. Gets stopped at the border.

Sherro was not the only one eyeing that collection.......Hmmmmmm.

I hope it's got a nice Croydon cds.

eh ehehe, The cds on the cover is perfectly nice! Sorry for my long mailing address, because our postmen here is super idiot as they will get your mail deliver to other places if you don't give them exact address! it happen very often here, a few copies of my National Geography just lost like that! I will open a new thread about Orchids on Stamp when I am free, believe me I will do that :) .

The cds "Croydon" on the cover is very meaningful to me, because it is the where the place my good friends, Uncle Bill, Uncle Ron and GOMC is. :)

Oh yeah, Next time use my full name "Kenny Wong Keng Tuck" rather than "Noel Phreakman" (My nick on MSN Messenger) because the person who put the letter on my mail box don't know the letter is for me, and he put it aside until he saw my father and ask who is Noel Phreakman. Luckily Cheryl was there and told him, that was me :) :) ....

Sorry about that Kenny,
But I addressed the letter exactly as you had written it to Ron or Ron had written it down. I wondered about the Noel name...but didn't want to get it wrong, so I copied it exactly.

I'm glad the postmark came out OK.

Ron, it's the Army training. Some things just had to be correct.
Like calling a Brigadeer- General----mate, or the RSM of the Army---cobber.

Although I forgotten most of the rules, now I'm retired and on Stampboards....hehehehehehehe
Funny thing though, when I meet retired Senior Officers, I still call them, Sir. Old habits die hard.
