As even local cannot see the games directly, except or a view outdoor and volunteers,
life goes on as normal for most of Tokyoites.
There are three public holidays that were shifted to coincidence with the games opening
ceremony days, creating long weekends.
However it is not a good times enjoying Tokyo's wet summer with a glass of beer,
as restaurants are banned to serve alcohol during State of Emergency (until end of August 2021).
I hope that Philanippon will not be postponed, as I have been waiting to it for 10 years.

Wow, thanks lurking member Ralph = spunkee
for putting your head up above the fence. Do tell us about life in Tokyo, from your viewpoint of a resident — how are your colleagues and friends feeling about the Olympic Games?
