It's early for a nomination for the month of May, but this thread is being updated regularly and I would like to nominate it for this month. It's very informative and it has a number of contributors. This is a great sign of a successful thread!

I have one ie RevRed for his thread Irish postcards Extremely informative/Historical and like going down a lot of memory lane. I especially love the older cards, from a time gone by. They are a snapshot of our past history which we will never see again. Snapshots in time.
I prefer to collect UK, British Commonwealth esp Pacific area ( not excluding West Indies/Canada ) and Western Europe. At the bottom of my zone of interest is Eastern Europe and communist countries.

Hello AMark, I would like to add my support for the nomination of the thread by RevRed+ entitled
.
Share your Irish postcards — all eras
.
https://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=93446&start=00
.
Started on 19 Dec 2020, the thread has steadily grown, and currently has 413 posts.
Typically each post has several postcards to show us, and this is done with clear scans
of both sides of each card, and appropriate commentary — location, historical comments,
linguistic comments, social comments, and the formal details about publisher. With the
evocative coverage of Irish landscape and glimpses into life during the past century and
more, the whole thread is a delight to browse.

I can't nominate the originator of the thread as Ubobo.R.O won several months ago, but Jeneralist has been a regular contributor to this thread with a lot of scarce philatelic material.

I'd like to nominate -

Current accounts and scams of the Sydney Stamp forger on ebay

https://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=85476&start=1400

And my nomination is to UK member blue-within-blue who has spent countless hours reporting the Sydney ebay forger to ebay, and directly having MANY of his accounts closed this year via the ebay contacts he has built up. A superb effort!

Keeping philately FAR safer for everyone. :!:

0Although it is early days for June's nominations but I would like to get in early with a nomination for Uncadonego on two fronts.
A) Very frequent changes of avatar showing increasing age.
B) His series of posts on American art and Artists. Very Informative and topical.
I prefer to collect UK, British Commonwealth esp Pacific area ( not excluding West Indies/Canada ) and Western Europe. At the bottom of my zone of interest is Eastern Europe and communist countries.

Re: Stamp News, $120 prize for the Month's most helpful tip/post

Last month I nominated RevRed for his thread Irish Postcards of whatever era. I would like to renominate him and his thread as it is so close to my heart and so educational. It takes me back many years to a time when my parents and I used to visit the South of Ireland in a Jaunting car. Those were the days. The images are so old fashioned but everlasting.

It really is an example of how we used to live and takes me back to a time when life was so much simpler. I do realise we cannot return to those times, but the memories flood back.
I prefer to collect UK, British Commonwealth esp Pacific area ( not excluding West Indies/Canada ) and Western Europe. At the bottom of my zone of interest is Eastern Europe and communist countries.

Since RevRed+ wasn't the winner for May 2021, I join others in renominating his Irish postcards thread for June 2021.
