Post by Agrome »

GRENADA British - Colour shade of SG # 109 ?

Left stamp is 1916 SG # 109 red
The right stamp could be a shade of red # 109 ?
It’s a pale red.

Thanks
Andrea

Hi Andrea.
To avoid the white border and the word "ATTACHMENTS" at the top of your images, you need to insert each image using the "Place Inline" button. :)

In answer to your actual question, the stamp on the right is an example of what happens to fugitive inks when the stamps are soaked. The left hand color is correct, but the one on the right is washed out. I would consider it a changeling.
