Australia 1948/49 thin paper Robes stamps - number issued?

Post by KGVnut »

Hi folks,

My dated ACSC doesn't have numbers for these.

Can someone please provide numbers issued of the four 1948/49 ordinary paper Coronation Robes printings:

5/- white and tinted, 10/- and £1 values.

Many thanks in advance ...

5/-: 3.6 million. Doesn't say what the split between white & tinted is, but CV is the same, so I'd assume a fairly even split.

10/-: 160,000

£1: 160,000

Just to clarify, are the numbers quoted the total printing for these issues, or just for the thin papers?
Also, what source did you use? Thanks

Those numbers are for the thin paper, as per the request.

Many thanks for that.

Justifies why the two higher values are pricey in good condition...

Just wondering what does the paper on the 5/, 10/ and 1 pound measure when there is no gum.

ASCS states this, but it does not mention measurements for used or mint no gum.
Can I subtract the difference (.03) and apply to no gum paper giving a measurement of .05 for thin paper.

Kind Regards,

TonyL.

.
No catalogue will list thin paper in USED.

Way too easy to fake.

90% of the alleged 5/- THIN paper Arms that you show offered MINT are not correct anyway. Near everything offered on eBay is totally wrong of course in this area.

Hopeful, clueless, optimistic dreamers selling to other hopeful dreamers, at many times what they are worth. A match made in Dreamer Heaven. (Until it comes time to sell of course.)

Thanks for the Catalogue information Glen. Useful.

Not interested in the second part as it has nothing to do with my question.

I'd suggest it has absolutely EVERYTHING to do with your question. YOU scanned that ACSC off-topic entry, not anyone else. Go get those Bunnies.

''Majjor Deescovrey - 5/- Arms THIN paper with no gum - RARRREETTEE'' .. gotta love ebay. The land that IQ forgot.

I'd suggest I have no idea what you are on about. I scanned the ACSC reference material to show there was no mention of un-gummed paper that's it.

Absolutely has NOTHING to do with eBay sellers.
