Quetta Experimental Post Office K-36. Usage dates?

Post by philatel2 »

I am trying to identify the earliest and latest dates of usage of the Experimental PO K-36. This postmark was used at Quetta (Baluchistan) following the 31 May 1935 earthquake.

These are the dates I have identified so far.

ERD: 23 July 1935
LRD: 29 October 1935

I suspect that the EPO was used until sometime in early-mid 1936 when the regular Post Offices were re-opened when the "Tin Towns" were established during the rebuilding phase.

Any information would be appreciated
Neil

I recently found an EPO K-36 date of 12 July. So listings of ERD and LRD are below.

I am still looking to extend the latest date beyound October

ERD: 12 July 1935
LRD: 29 October 1935
