How does SG Value gutter pairs of Commonwealth stamps?

Post by stallzer »

I haven't been able to find anywhere in my SG Commonwealth & British Empire catalog where they address multiples and things like gutter pairs.

This Bahrain KGVI overprint 5 Rupee unmounted mint is valued at £15 per stamp, how much value does it being a gutter pair add?

SG Part 1 clearly does not.

(GB ''Traffic Light'' Gutter pairs are priced in the GB Concise)

Do you mean ''How does the MARKET value them''? Depends on the issue or country or ERA.

Generally as 2 stamps, or maybe a tiny bit more.

Issues from here for decades had gutters on all sheets so they attract little or no premium. See below.

1 value of a set as you show .. no big deal.

MAYBE the entire set in matched Gutter pairs would command a slight premium.

My stamps!

Yes, thousands of sheets with this sort of stuff in Australia!

I'd rather keep them in place, I can always cut it off.
Set, yes...

Some types certainly add to the price though, such as this:

And these certainly add to the whole picture (not a gutter, no).
And as Glen points out, having a full set could help the price:

Just noticed perforations missing on one of the 45c pieces!
Still keep finding things :D

And then a number of sets came out with way more (very nice):
