Info on imperforated Wallis & Futuna stamp 1962?

Post by Robustian »

Found this from Wallis & Futuna.

5th Conference du Pacifique Sud,
Pago Pago 1962.

I have only found info on the perforated and nothing on this one.

Maybe someone here can shed some light on the subject?

Hi

All stamps of France and Colonies were produced in low quantities as imperf and épreuves de luxe and given as such to politicians, upper management and other privileged persons until 1995 when a report from «La Cour des Comptes» (The equivalent of auditor general or GAO) decried the practice and caused its cessation. Some are highly sought, unfortunately, not this one.

I'm also Memphre on Delcampe. Always about 15,000 items in my Delcampe store: stamps, postcards and postal history. See it here: http://www.delcampe.net/boutiques/memphre
