This thread has seen way too little action in the past 3 (!) months. I think (hope) some of the chains in which I participate are still pending around the world.

That being said, I propose to start two new chains (and I am happy to organize), those should be #CC and #CD. I am seeking four participants for each of these:

Chain #CC: Commemoratives from around the world, postally used, no CTOs. Contribution of 30 stamps from each participant.

Chain #CD: Definitives and christmas issues: less common issues. So either, higher denominations or very new issues from major countries, or definitives from less common countries. No strict rules, include stamps as you deem fit loosely following this definition. Contribution of 50 stamps from each participant.

Let me know if you're interested!

David, I would love to participate in both your new chains, and am happy to subscribe to both. But there is so much chaos in International Mail at the moment, I suspect that the chains could simply reach a dead end, and even if they do not, will take a year or more to do do a single round.

For example, there are probably a dozen or more live chains in this thread, and more than that in my original chain letter thread, and progress in all of these seem to have ground to a complete halt. It is a sad fact of the world we are living in.

Thanks Norm for committing to both chains!

I think that I probably have been lucky in that most international mail I sent and received in the past months were not really much slower (in some instances even faster) than usual. But that being said, I noticed the silence in this thread and underlying reductions in mail sent and likely increased transfer times elsewhere.

In any case, let's wait till these chains fill up and then decide when we start up.

Cheers
David

It took more than a week but I was finally able to send back contributions for chain BO & BQ. However I forgot to ask for confirmation of addresses. Hope no one has changed address in the meantime. Worst case scenario is that it will come back to me.

Chain BU is also ready to travel to luzazul after I confirm her address.

I owe a BIG apology to the other members of Chain BX, which I just found buried on my desk.  Between the pandemic and my piles of work at home, it got neglected and then lost under a mountain of paperwork. Very sorry!

I have now processed it and will mail to fromdownunder this week to start Circuit 3.

Sorry!!
