Eric's Worldwide Trading Post

Post by EricBismarck »

It is time to clear out my stockbooks and trade off all my duplicates (currently filling 15 binders)

This first post will have the rules, remaining posts my trade lots.

Participation: 20 posts / 20 days rule. If you want to claim a lot and are reasonably certain you have something in my want list. Claim it by posting in this thread. Always ask questions if not sure.

The rules and want list items below may be updated / changed later on. See later posts and my website to be sure my want list has not expanded. http://www.stampboards.com/images/eworldstamps/want-list/

Rules
1. Review my “Want List” section below

2. Catalog Value – I do not get hung up on specific catalog values, however, do not offer me a bunch of minimum value 1950’s commemoratives in exchange for high catalog value items. Make a Reasonable Trade Offer and I will accept.

3. Condition - Please view the scans to see the condition of the items I am offering. My process is very fast and I load stamps in and out of my stockbooks, scan them, and load them in glassines. I will miss things like pulled perfs, or other small details. If condition is a concern, view the scan, and adjust your offer accordingly

4. No Lot Splitting – They are already packed into glassines. You must take the whole lot.

5. Multiple Lots – The more the merrier! – Trade for as many lots as you would like

6. Sending - Any StampBoarder who has been a member for LESS time than me will need to send first. In all other cases, I will send my lots as soon as we have agreed on the trade. (Note: I have been a member since Nov 05, 2013)

7. Packaging - I will use modern USA commemorative’s on my outgoing package. Would expect the same as well. (Let’s define Modern as the last 10 years)

Want List

My full want list is available here: http://www.stampboards.com/images/eworldstamps/want-list/

CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR ITEMS FROM COUNTRIES BEGINNING WITH THE LETTERS A-C. Any other countries, please ask first.

Stamps
1. I prefer Postally Used, CTO, and Mint (Un-Used) – in that order. Very Strong Preference for Postally Used
2. I collect varieties (flaws, color variations, sheets, blocks, perf variations, etc.
The want list you see below is only for countries that I have mounted and inventoried in my system. For these countries, I list each specific Scott Catalog number that I need
3. Not using Scott? – I also list my inventory by Decade and by Year. So, if you notice that for a particular country, I have very few stamps from the 1990’s, you can be sure that offering me a lot of 1990’s stamps will be accepted.
4. Country Showing ZERO – ASK FIRST. This may be a country that is loaded into my inventory system, but, I have not mounted yet. Do not assume I have zero stamps from that country
5. Country not listed? I may still be interested, ask me first. But in general, for most countries, my unsorted is probably heavy in pre-1980’s, so would normally generally be interested in 1980’s through the present. Again, always ask as I can take a quick look at what I have.
6. Example Offers: Could be a list of specific Scott Numbers, or, more general such as “100 different Used Austria from the 1990’s and 2000’s”

Cinderellas, Revenues, Locals, etc.
1. Revenues : Possibly interested
2. Cinderellas : Only Interested IF the “Cinderella” pretends to be a stamp. E.g. has a face value of some kind. This includes Cinderellas from “non-countries”, etc.
3. Any other oddities, I am usually interested

Covers
1. NOT INTERESTED IN FDC’s
2. I am interested in collecting: 1 Cover from EACH Country I have, then, 1 Cover from EACH YEAR for each country
3. Interested in old and modern covers
4. Prefer non-commercial covers over commercial ones

Again - Full want list country by country can be found at this link:
http://www.stampboards.com/images/eworldstamps/want-list/

Any additional info on trading with me, including an updated list of available trade lots can be found here http://www.stampboards.com/images/eworldstamps/trading/

        I'll bite for lot #23 - Andorra 1973/90.

My offer for it is a lot of first-day-cancelled Aland Island stamps, see scan below:

And I'd be interested also on lot #9/ Free Albania Committee - Exile Cinderellas.

For swap I suggest a mixture of Belgium stamps with 'advertising labels' (MNH) and Brazil 'Condor syndicate' stamps (MH). Catalog value for the lot is ~30€ (excluding the the 1000rs which has corner perf folded and 'stuck' on the back)

Again, do we have a deal?

are you interested in the following stamps? 89 from Denmark, some from Croatia, Burundi, Algeria, Cameroon - 108 stamps in all to get these lots: # 5, 8, 11. I'm also interested in # 2, 3, 4, 20. I can add more pics.
        Cheers

Gianni - A couple of things:

        1. Not interested in Denmark at this time. In the first post on this thread, see my notes on this subject
I state: "CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR ITEMS FROM COUNTRIES BEGINNING WITH THE LETTERS A-C. Any other countries, please ask first."

Note: 4 - Country Showing ZERO – ASK FIRST. This may be a country that is loaded into my inventory system, but, I have not mounted yet. Do not assume I have zero stamps from that country

For the others - I have many of them already unfortunately, except for the ones below that I would be interested in.

        Row 1 - Stamps 2,3,4 (Algeria)
        Row 2 - Stamps 3,4,5,6 (Burundi)
        Row 3 - Stamps 2 (Croatia)

If you could come up with another 20 stamps or so, we could make a trade for one of the lots you are interested in.

Be sure to view the countries on my website. I show each issue year and how many stamps I have / need. So, even if not using Scott, find some years where I have low counts and the chances are you will have something for me.

Hi Gianni - Thanks for the scans:

        I'll take:

        Scan 1
        Row 1 - Stamps 2, 5
        Row 2 - Stamp 4,5,6

        Row 5 - Stamp 6

        Scan 2 - None

        Scan 3
        Row 1, Stamp 1
        Row 2, Stamp 1,2,3,4,5
        Row 3, Stamp 4

        Scan 4
        Row 1, Stamp 2
        Row 3, Stamp 3,4

These 16 stamps plus the 8 from before get's us pretty close to trading for one of the lots I think. Maybe just a few more and we could trade out Lot #5 - Afghanistan 1666-1978 (34 stamps)

Eric, what if I suggested that I'd pick from your lots like you do with mine? do you think we can do that, even though you clearly stated your condition? But I may submit you more scans where you could pick again and again.

Gianni - I have all of the lots already packed up in glassines for each lot.

I have all of my current inventory and want lists clearly listed on my website. So for instance, if you look at Austria, you can see that a good offer would be stamps from the 1990's and 2000's (I only have 63 stamps from the 90's and 5 stamps from the 2000's)

If I was offered a lot from that era, I would be more likely to just take the whole lot because I would end up with many stamps I would need.

I don't mind getting a few duplicates in an exchange, but I don't want to end up with the majority of the stamps being ones I already have.

        Hello Eric

Do you have any interest in swapping used Canada by wantlist? I have pretty decent duplicate stock, with most of the soaked/sorted stuff from the 1990s to very recent.

Do you have any interest in swapping used Canada by wantlist? I have pretty decent duplicate stock, with most of the soaked/sorted stuff from the 1990s to very recent.

        Jean
Hi Jean - At some point probably - I will be in touch! Although my duplicate stock of 1990's and new Canada is pretty weak, mainly common stuff. Same with my older stock...lots of it, but lots of common. (nearly 2 binders full of Canada...but imagine how many wildings are in there....TONS)

In fact - feel free to message me via the boards to get my email, and send me your Canada want list (I assume scott numbers yes?) - I will take a look through it

After discussion with Eric, I withdraw my request for lots 1, 18, 19 and 20.

These are therefore available for selection again.

I hope this dosn't complicate things too much.

        Hello Eric,

I am interested in lot 22 Andorra.

I have a stock of Austrian stamps (used and CTO) from the 1960s till the 1990s. I will check your wantlist and your exchange here with member Thestamp.

Unfortunately I don't have the time the coming days to check your list, sort and scan. Maybe friday or sunday.

Can you reserve lot 22 for me?

Gianni - I will have a look later tonight. I may need some of those. Can you remove all the duplicates though?

Also - It would help if they were organized in some way - I don't suppose you store your duplicates by year?? It would make it much easier to see if the lot contains stamps I need.

        Thanks,

Sorry, Eric, I'm actually quite messy at storing duplicates, you are perfectly right. I'm not as efficient as you are in ordering them by year, but at least I'll remove duplicates from picture and will add some more.

                        Hi Eric

I am interested in lots 48 and 49 and can probably fill a pretty big hole in your Australia and Territories wants list but I would need a specific list from you if thats at all possible.

If it is too difficult I understand.

Terrific job with your website by the way.

                        Cheers

                        John

Hi John - 48 and 49 reserved for you!

Let me know what info you would need on my Australia holes. One thing is I have all of the Roos and KGV heads in a pile that needs to be sorted and mounted. (That is why those are all zeros)

I could update my list with more descriptive info on my missing stamps if that would help? (Since I use Scott and I am sure you use SG)

                        Thanks,
                        Eric

                        Thanks Eric

SG numbers are fine or even Stampword catalogue numbers (online) which ever is easier for you.

                        Cheers

Hi John - finished up sorting my KGV heads and Roos, and updated my inventory list for Australia with descriptions, SG Numbers (or both) for most years. Got lazy around 1996 or so, but my haves are pretty sparse starting with that year and going forward.

I also updated some SG numbers for Christmas Island, Cocos and Australia Antarctic.

When you view one of my country pages, scroll down and click on the year - It will show the inventory list - SG numbers are off to the right where I have them input

My Philippines is currently in a huge envelope, but I took and glance and I would guess most of it is pre-2000.

So - I would be willing to trade for any year 2000 or newer Philippines.

Prefer used if you have it, but would also trade for Mint.

                        Thanks,
