With so many engraved stamps on this thread it is hard to prevent duplication. However I was unable to find this set using the search engine so here it comes.

On 4 October 2004 Monaco paid 'Homage to Grace Kelly' with this set of three postage stamps. It is interesting that each of the stamps has a different engraver, all now quite famous.

Firstly, Pierre Albuisson

Thanks for the link.

The link only has links to bureaux from France, Monaco and the UPU, is there any reason for that? There's no other bureaux that do engraved stamps?

This is a Society of Engraver artists. Please see http://www.artdutimbregrave.com/english/artistes.html.
The focus is on the artists and their art, not the bureau. I suspect the French government assists with funding this society and thus the focus on French bureau stamps. Red Shooting Star did not claim this was an all encompassing engraved site. He offered it for informational purposes.

Here is an image of a stamp featuring a portrait of German composer and pianist Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827), designed by Zoltán Nagy (1916-1987), engraved by Mihály Füle (1914-2005), and issued by Hungary on June 25, 1960 to publicize the Martonvásár Beethoven Concerts, Scott No. 1313, plus an image of a portrait of Beethoven by German artist Carl Jaeger (1833-1887) which was probably the model for this stamp's design, and a YouTube link to a video of a performance at the 2015 Martonvásár Concert of the rousing finale from Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125 ("the Choral"), Antál Mátyás (1945- ) conducting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0FTsJ6eeNE Note: The Brunszvik Palace in Martonvásár is where Beethoven stayed when he wrote his Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor, commonly known as "Für Elise."

Czech Post honoured Václav Fajt's excellent interpretation of Jaroslava Pešicová's painting entitled "The Victor", issued as the latest stamp in the Art on Stamps series, with a special document showing the process used in creating and printing the sumptuous colour engraving.

To see the document Google https://www.filatelieceskoslovensko.cz/Umeni-2017-Jaroslava- ... -d4399.htm and keep pressing Ctrl and + keys for the highest resolution possible.

This is the stamp in question as shown on https://www.wnsstamps.post/stamps/2017/CZ/CZ044.17.jpg:
Image

The painter, graphic artist, and illustrator Jaroslava Pešicová (1935 - 2015) was fascinated by the literary work of François Rabelais and admired the fantastic imagery of Hieronymus Bosch, so small wonder that her own works are rather enigmatic as well but provoking lively interest.

The technique involved in the creation of the stamp is a classical one, which has been employed for colour engraving and printing special issues of Czechoslovakian (and later, Czech and Slovak) stamps ever since 1955.

The engraver divides the colour scheme of the design into several hues (yellow, red, green, blue, and black in this case) and, by hand, engraves separate dies for each of them because this process requires separate plates for each of the inks used.

The plates are pulled, one by one, on sheetlets of gummed paper on a die stamping press, such as Waite & Saville or F. Heim & Co., working from lightest to darkest hue and ending with the key plate (main features of the design) usually in black or some other dark colour, registration being critical.

The end result is often a work of art in itself, triumph for designer, engraver, and printer.

The facture of stamps in pure multicolour line engraving has always been admired by lovers of the beautiful in philately both in my country and abroad.

Here are three more examples of such engravings by Václav Fajt (b. 1952) as shown on https://www.wnsstamps.post/en/participating_agencies#C :

2009: "An Alley" by Alfred Justitz:

2010: "Sand Bargemen" by Miloš Jiránek:

2011: "Lovers" by Jaroslav Vožniak:

2011: "Woman in Maize Field" by Joža Uprka:

2012: "Girl with Long Hair" by Kamil Lhoták:

If you understand French, listen to the words of the postage stamp designer and engraver Pierre Albuisson, President of the Art du timbre gravé association, whose goal is to promote the use of line engraving in stamp production:
Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov Lenin was a Russian communist revolutionary, politician and political theorist. He served as head of government of Soviet Russia from 1917 to 1924 and of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924. Here is a stamp issued by USSR on March 30, 1963 to commemorate the 93rd Birth Anniversary of Vladimir Lenin. Designed by S. Pomansky, I have no information about the engraver:

This is one of a set of four stamps issued by Czechoslovakia in 1956 on the subject of spas, designed by Mario Stretti and engraved by Jindra Schmidt. This is the "difficult" stamp of the set, as its release was restricted (only 250,000 were printed, as opposed to 2M+ of the other three)

Ah, Decaris! His style is so recognisable! I've just counted and since I started collecting by engraver in 2014 I've accumulated 59 different stamps of his. Actually I sought them out - because I found his stamps irresistible. The only other engraver whose style is so recognisable (well, to me anyway!) is the later Delpech.

Czech Republic issued a minisheet on 14 February 2019 featuring Jiří Hanzelka and Miroslav Zikmund's Century. These are the two postage stamps, engraved by Václav Fajt. The minisheet will be posted on the 'cars' thread.

'J. Hanzelka and M. Zikmund first met at school. Only a handful of their friends came to say goodbye when the young graduates in economy started on their first trip to Africa in 1947. They wanted to discover the world. They returned back home three and a half years later - as famous travellers. They started in Africa, travelling from the north down to the very south. They drove their Tatra 87 all across the Nubian Desert, climbed Kilimanjaro, reached Cape Town and crossed the ocean to Argentine to continue their expedition across the South and Central Americas. During the expedition lasting three and a half years, Jiří Hanzelka and Miroslav Zikmund passed through 44 countries and overcame a distance of 111,000 kilometres. Throughout the long journey, they continuously sent radio reports to their listeners at home. Afterwards, they described it in books. During their second expedition in 1959–1964, they headed for Asia and Oceania. They embarked on a journey to fulfil their student’s dream for the second time on 22 April 1959. The two travellers together with an accompanying team of two again started from the Autoklub building in Prague’s Opletalova street in two Tatra 805 cars. The expedition lasted five and a half years and Jiří Hanzelka and Miroslav Zikmund visited thirty countries.'

I'm quite fond of this new acquisition. Incredibly fresh copy from the 1923-1924 pictorial series.

These are common enough, but I am posting these new additions because I love their centering, fresh colors, and they're MNH... and there don't seem to be a whole lot of other Newfoundland specialists here, so I want to share...
